TTC what to except from hospital referral

Hi all,

DH and I have been ttc for 18 months now with no hint of success.

It was really getting me down but just before Covid struck the doctor referred me to the hospital. Then everything stopped for 7 months.

I’ve now had a letter to say they’re going to phone me on the 8th in place of a face to face appointment. Has anyone had one of these who can tell me what to expect?

I’m really struggling this week, 4 friends are either pregnant or expecting this week (one of which lives directly opposite us so I can’t escape).

Would appreciate any advise!

I think (We went to ivf dr) they will start with tests to start with. First possibly along the lines how often is your cycle to look for pcos, maybe suggest blood tests, semen sample, they could even suggest a scan to check ovarys, womb etc. We were recommended a lap and dye, did that then got pregnant 2 months later. I think they suggest things to do then delve into the ivf route
