SEPT 2020 BPF testing/ two week wait Gals 🤞🤞

Hi girls,
Im currently in the tww and wondering if anyone is too and wants to share their journey. Im currently 8DPO and am doing my best to NOT poas though its so hard! Im literally an addict...but so far so good. Im determined this time to not test before 12DPO!
Bit about me: im 37, Have been ttc for just over a year now and in that time sadly had a MMC x 2 and more recently an ectopic requiring tube removal. So afraid that I wont be able to concieve on the side of my existing tube but ya gota have hope, right?! Hoping for a rainbow baby on this our fourth attempt.

Symptoms so far:
-Bigger boobs but not sore (yet)

• loads of rumblings going on low down
• sleepy after food
• weight loss ( though im on the large side so no harm there!)
• odd lower back pain
• VERY emotional (poor hubbie!)

Would love to chat to ladies in a similar boat to symptom share and have a laugh with in this horrible tww fiasco! Fingers crossed for baby dust for all hoping for their BFP ✨🤰🤗❤

@ER20 welcome. If you’re due on 11th and assume 14 day luteal phase maybe you ovulated on 28th aug? So maybe 7dpo today - depends which kind of test you get as only some will pick up from day 9/10 post ovulation.

Not sure if this is of use to anyone and you may already know but apparently a FRER probably won’t detect a pregnancy until at least 11 days after you ovulate at earliest. I’ve been looking at old threads and someone emailed them and asked.

Presumably because on average after ovulation implantation takes about 9 days and then add another two on for hormone levels to be high enough to be detected? That’s also a rough estimate because implantation can take anywhere between 6 - 12 days but it’s usually considered 9.

If this is true then I really did waste my FRER. My Fitbit seems to think my likely ovulation day was the 27th August... so if it is right then I would only be 8 days after ovulation.

I’ve also since remembered I never got an early result with my previous pregnancies... with both it was either the day of, or the day after my missed period.

Good luck to anyone testing tomorrow. I haven’t the heart to see another BFN so I’m going try and sit on my hands and wait till next week if I can.

And @ChasingRainbow I have heard of using OPKs to detect pregnancy. I think I tried it once before actually... and mine was negative (wasn’t pregnant). Fingers crossed!

@SeekingCoffee33 well thats very interesting. The only thing about that is they advertise '5 days before your missed period'..so that is confusing 🤔

However, it is wonderful to hear right now!
Even if we have wasted our tests!

Hi ladies, I'm a now 2 days late but had a bfn today so just waiting see if my AF arrives tomorrow. Had absolutely no signs so not expecting anything!

Also if you look at their percentage of people who get a positive 5 days before missed period it’s not really very good results.

The 5 days before period doesn’t make much sense... but depending on a persons length of cycle, it’s probably possible some people who ovulate early in their cycle would get a positive result five days before AF was due.

From my calculations ( if my Fitbit is right) 11 dpo is Monday 7th for me which would be three days before AF... but that’s if my Fitbit is right as I have irregular 4-5 week cycles.

Still hope @ClaraGill as you might have ovulated or implanted late. I think hormones are supposed to double every 48 hours after implantation so perhaps wait a couple of day’s and try again? Did you use first morning urine?

Think I’m off to relax now... I need to think about something else for a bit

@ClaraGill I'm in the same.boat! 2/3 days late and had a BFN today but my cycles are always regular! Feeling very deflated and stuck in a limbo of negative tests but then also no period 😭

@SeekingCoffee33 yeah first morning but nothing. Think my body is playing mind games with me 😂 I'll see what happens tomorrow I suppose. I'm normally a 25 day cycle so onto day 27 now 🙂

Now on cycle day 35 and still BFN 🤔 feel like my body is playing cruel tricks on me, in Hope's of late ovulation I'm gonna put off testing until next wednesday if AF still hasn't arrived. If I still get a BFN then god knows what im gonna do just wait till AF arrives I guess 😂😂

Morning @ChasingRainbow I did my FRER and got a super faint line like what you described, you couldn't see it in a photo at first so I had a play around with it. Does it look like yours?

Still no sign of AF here
Have lower back cramping pain (never ever get this with AF, only ever preg/miscarriage related. And last night was first night i didnt wake up at a crazy hour - also a preg symptom.

I do think chemical.
But that would actually be bitter sweet good news for me 🤞

That all sounds very interesting indeed.
And you're right, the % of people who in fact get an 'early' BFP is prob very low in reality.
Im not holding out much hope here.
The witch due tomorrow, and much as we hate her, she is ultimately 100% accurate!!

I just took it apart (naughty I know) and you can see the line quite clearly I think.

I don't know whether to use another one with water and see if you get the same line :/

12dpo and still no sign of AF so I decided to test.

I had a chemical in June and I've been having cramps so trying not to get my hopes up too much!

I think I'm going crazy haha! Put it back together and there's definitely something faint.

I'm going to hold off till Monday if I can I think. Im going away today for the night so some shopping should take my mind off things!
