Positive and negative results / late period / what is going on!? :(

I am TTC baby number 1 and have only started trying since the end of July.

Today I am 4 days late for my period and in the past week I have been feeling nauseated, I am peeing so much more, my heart rate has elevated, tired, etc

I took 3 tests tests yesterday (a mixture of Clear Blue, a supermarket own brand and First Line Response) - the clear blue was negative, Morrison's was negative but first line response had a faint pink line appear 30 minutes after taking it (photo attached)

Today I've taken a clear blue digital and it's read as "not pregnant"

I'm nearly 5 days late for my period, I feel sick and I've had both negative and positive results and I'm usually like clockwork with my period.

Can anyone suggest what they think is going on? I just want to know what I'm dealing with Confused xx

I think waiting 30 minutes to read the test probably means it's an evap. If you're 4 days late you should be getting fairly strong lines by now. Can you get a couple more pink dye tests and try over the next couple of days?

Yeah you shouldn't really read a test after about 5/10 mins as you can get fake lines where wee dries up and evaporates off the indent line where a true positive line would sit. Plus most women don't tend to get pregnancy symptoms that soon as that could be as your ttc your paying so much attention to your body (trust me we've all been there and done that Smile) x

There's definitely a line there. FRERs are usually much more sensitive than CB or other tests so it might take CB a while to pick up your hormone change :) give it a couple more days for your hormones to build up more and then test again!

@wannabemumma88 I think there are 2 likely options

  1. AF is late because you’re pregnant but your HCG levels are not yet detecting super high. As it doubles every 48 hrs I think that’s a good time interval for testing (any time of day but with as much of a hold as you can manage and ideally 4 hrs) But bare in mind that when levels are low, even doubling can take a while before there’s a strong line. The FRER are the most sensitive.
  1. You may have had a chemical which could delay AF by this much

I guess it could also be variation in cycle but you’ll know what’s normal for you

But the only way to know if you’re pregnant at this point I think is to test again with a decent time interval between tests ....

Now I’ve typed this I’ve realised it’s not very helpful at all! If it helps I’m in a similar boat !
