Just that really. How long did it take you after stopping the combined pill?
Is it unusual for it to happen the first month without even having a ‘natural’ period?

I'm sure it is possible but I couldn't tell you how common it is. Perhaps there are some statistics out there on this?

FitbitMum · 26/08/2020 23:15

6 months for me. And believe me we were trying

MintGreenLife · 27/08/2020 09:55

@GreyAllTheWay It seems there are quite a lot of stories of women getting their BFP first cycle off the pill without AF. I'm currently on cycle 3 of TTC after stopping the pill and no luck so far - I should have had five cycles by now, but they have been very irregular since stopping the pill. Last one was around 55 days long! So that's making TTC pretty tricky.

It took me 8 months to conceive after stopping the pill (also went hard at it from the word go!). I think the odds of it happening first cycle are relatively low but it does happen. From what I read, the average is between 6-9 months.

Ginfilledcats · 27/08/2020 10:30

Perfectly possible to conceive straight away.
However it was 6m for me the first time which sadly ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks. Then 3 months to the day I conceived again and have my little one snoozing in my arms currently. Good luck!

DS1 instantly (I then had two months of very light ‘periods’ and my dates were therefore two months off). DS2, six months. I was 31 and 34 and had never had a pregnancy scare so hadn’t thought I’d be very fertile so DS1 was a bit of a shock despite being planned!

babyguffingtonstrikesagain · 27/08/2020 10:54

Instantly for all 3 of my DC.

Iamnotacerealkiller · 27/08/2020 10:59

I think it is unusual because of the withdrawal bleed but perhaps it depends on the pill used? 3rd complete cycle for both mine after 10 years.of progesterone only pill.

Molly3456 · 27/08/2020 12:23

Ive been off the pill since April. Going into my 5th cycle TTC now

Juno231 · 27/08/2020 12:26

I've been off the pill since Oct last year and I'm still not pregnant. Cycle 8 of properly tracking though.

zafferana · 27/08/2020 12:30

I got pregnant the second month (i.e. six weeks after stopping the pill). I was 33 at the time.

Curiosity101 · 27/08/2020 13:14

I fell pregnant the second month.

ToxicTracey · 27/08/2020 13:58

I fell pregnant both times straight after coming off the pill with no period first.

Jiminycricketp · 27/08/2020 14:43

1st was straight away
2nd took 2 months
3rd took 3 months

Jadey31 · 27/08/2020 14:46

Took us 9 months however I had been on the pill for 10 years! I'm almost certain it was to do with the fact I was on antibiotics that month also

VoyageInTheDark · 27/08/2020 16:24

When i came off the pill it took about 6 weeks until my period came and then I got a BFP the first month of trying after that

GreyAllTheWay · 27/08/2020 16:47

Thanks everyone. It seems that there is a big variation in answers! I stopped the pill last month and I’m only just over 2 weeks since my last period (well, the withdrawal bleed) and my nipples have been quite tingly which I remember happened with my first, but don’t know if it was this early! I’m not sure if I’m just looking for things that are not there and obsessing a bit. I don’t know why, I didn’t stress about it with my first it was just a case of if it happens it happens, and it did in 3 months. I feel much more impatient this time already!
