Positive OPK CD18 near positive OPK at 8dpo

Hi all,

Hope you’re all doing well & for those of you still trying to get your little bundle of joy I am sending loads of baby dust your way.

I have been using OPK’s this month, I got a positive OPK on CD 18 (I have longish cycles) today for some reason I just felt the need to do one to satisfy my urge to test, the OPK isn’t positive but it’s how it shows up normal a day or two before I get my positive.

I know some people get an LH surge before their periods but i was wondering how soon before? My period is due around the 1st/2nd of September. So between 6 or 7 days away.

I’ve attached OPK pictures for reference the strong one is my positive on CD18 & the lighter one is the done from today. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Also just to add I have no symptoms for pregnancy or PMS. (The last two months before this one I had sore boobs from the day after ovulation until the day of my period and bouts of light sickness. This month nothing, other than being a bit sleepy but that could be because I am on the go non-stop and getting out of bed with DP at the crack of dawn each day!)

It's not unusual to have LH in your system throughout the whole cycle in varying amounts. I wouldn't read into this tbh, especially as it's not a blazing strong line either.

I personally have a faint line all month, with a very dark line showing at my peak. It does get more faint throughout but I will still have a soft line. Good luck this month! We're due for AF the same day!
