Two negative tests, but period 10 days late

Ok I'm freaking out a bit, I've been feeling poorly for the past couple of weeks, fatigue, cramping, lower back pain and nausea. Thought I was about to get my period, but she never showed up. I'm now 10 days late with increasing symptoms so took a clear blue digital yesterday morning, it was negative. Used a cheapie strip test the same night and still negative.

I'm not on any hormonal contraception, my OH and I use condoms. There were a couple of instances where we started but put a condom on halfway through, so technically unprotected sex.

Could these be false negatives?? I used both kinds because I heard that the strip tests are more sensitive in the early stages, but harder to read.

My cycle is usually pretty regular 26-27 days, so it's unusual that it's this late. FWIW I have been pregnant before and I felt the exact same way, heavy and crampy in my womb and extremely tired. I knew from about 5 weeks.

Obviously not TTC so feeling very anxious as I can't shake the feeling that I AM pregnant but getting negative results?!

Hi, there are a number of reasons why your period could be late, pregnancy included. I think the only way to settle it, and put your mind at rest, is to phone your gp and obtain a blood test. Is there any reason why you wouldn't mention this to your other half? Sounds like you might need some support in this. Flowers x

I'd speak to your gp. At 10 days after a period due you should be at least getting a faint line if you were pregnant. Could be some kind of infection maybe? What's your CM like (if you feel comfortable talking about it)

Had similar experience. Everything was negative. All the symptoms. Usually regular but took me to day 48 to bleed. Chemical pregnancy that just took ages to go sadly.
