Hi all, I'm sending myself mad with pregnancy tests.
Iv posted before about taking the MAP in April due to a split condom. Ever since then I havnt felt "right". I'm still bleeding every month, but only for a day and a half.
Iv taken a pregnancy test every 2 weeks since, excessive I know! But I'm paranoid about being pregnant (i am sorry to those who are trying).
Basically I have had all negative tests.
Then yesterday I randomly took anouther- a first response midstream from a local chemist. It shows a very faint second line!
But I then took a clear blue digital and it said not pregnant.
I would be 15 weeks pregnant if I was by now so I know I should have trusted the other negative tests but after seeing this faint line Iv become more paranoid. (I havnt had sex since 15 weeks ago)
Can I ask, does this look like an evap line and if not then why have previous tests shown clear negatives?

I have attached the recent test with the faint line and the two other tests from 2 weeks ago.

Please help. Is this a faint positive or evap line?

Babyg1995 · 17/08/2020 18:30

Agree with pp definitely negative .

PracticalMagic111 · 17/08/2020 18:34

@WhoUsedMyName and @Babyg1995
Thank you so much for replying so quickly, I really appreciate it.
I realise the photo I uploaded with the faint line looks really faint but when I edit it I can see it. I'll attach a photo.
I know how paranoid I must sound and I really appreciate your help.
Deep down I know I should just accept the other negatives but I just wished I knew for certain.

Could you explain this to your doctor? They might check you over for your symptoms in case it's something else and do a blood test to check your hormone levels.

Babyg1995 · 17/08/2020 18:44

If your really that worried I would get a digital and it says pregnant/ not pregnant but it would be a really clear positive line at this stage op .

PracticalMagic111 · 17/08/2020 18:55

@MrsSSG I had a blood test about 2 months ago (not for pregnancy but for inflammation levels but to bloating and abdominal pain) which showed an under active thyroid, which I'm on medication for.

@Babyg1995 I took a digital one yesterday after the faint line one and it said not pregnant.

I realise as I typing this how I should just believe the other tests. I really appreciate you all taking the time to respond as Iv had no one to speak to and I think that hasn't helped with overthinking.

Do you think I should just accept I am not pregnant?

@PracticalMagic111 edited one looks positive but recently FRER giving many false results.i would suggest you to take another FRER test tomorrow and 2 BFP is maybe unlikely. Then you can speak to your GP. Regardless keep calm, wish you get the result you wanted :)

Yes. You aren't pregnant. Some medications can mess with pregnancy tests - had you taken anything in the previous day or so before taking the tests? If you haven't had sex for 15 weeks, have continued to bleed monthly and have had all negative tests up to now, I don't see how you can possibly be pregnant. At 15 weeks, the only way you'd have a negative test would be the hook effect (where too much pregnancy hormone causes a test to read negative when someone is actually pregnant) but you'd have seen positive tests before now, given you've been taking them every two weeks. I really, really don't think you're pregnant.

PracticalMagic111 · 17/08/2020 19:21

@Shinea That was what I thought too, it scared me and I was hoping it was an evap or fault. But the more I look at it the more I see it.

@GanderousGoose thank you for easing my mind, and you make a lot of sense! I think with all this happening after taking the MAP (due to condom split not from not being careful) and then with the light monthly bleeds I couldn't help but overthink.
The previous tests before this one were all very negative as was the digital I took after the faint line one (although I used second urine of the day as I too thought of hook effect).
I know I should just let this go, I just wished my mind would shut off.
