IVF Pregnancy and husband is freaking out

Ladies,

I am pregnant. After 5 years of trying. In my 3rd IVF. But guess what? We went for a heart beat check this morning and we found two heartbeats. Both are in the same gestational sac. My husband is excited but at the same time terrified. I hope the pregnancy goes well. Reading stuff on the internet scares the shit out of me. The risks of identical twins in the same sac. I am looking for some motivation and hope.

And to all the ladies waiting to conceive - If I can, you can as well :)

I have identical twins girls (modi) so same sac and own placentas and I saw the specialist twice a month and everything went really well. Even managed to deliver them vaginally. But these were my second pregnancy so very different. Yours would be a c section more likely. Book a midwife appointment and they’ll tell what you need to know.
Oh and I was ivf as well and my specialist put me on baby aspirin for full pregnancy.
Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy xx

@AmIamum10 aw congratulations, thats such lovely news 😃 I can't give any advice on carrying twins like some ladies might be able to but I'm actually an identical twin myself and I just had to write that its the most amazing thing ever. Even to this day we get asked 'are you two twins?' We do sometimes say, no? Ive never met her before? And the look they give is priceless..so many stories!
Anyway, think positive and my Mum always said it worked because it had to.
Your little ones will have a buddy for life and a bond that no one else can explain.
Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and enjoy this journey ☺️

My friend had twins and when they were tiny we took them out in slings. Because of the shape of the slings you couldn't actually see the babies. One shop assistant asked "twins?" to which my friend replied "no, I've got a baby, she's shoplifting." Well it made us laugh.

Congratulations, how exciting! I'm pregnant with a singleton but am an identical twin myself, shared a sac and a placenta. My mum only had a few extra scans as they didn't think it was that risky back then, and she was induced a couple of weeks early due to very bad SPD and my dad only being in the country for a few days before having to go back to sea.

It was a very smooth pregnancy, we had mild twin to twin transfusion syndrome but nowhere near as bad as it can be, I just came out fat and red and my sister was scrawny and white. Both around 5 1/2 pounds though so good sizes!
