I'm going stir crazy. I'm on day 13 of a regular cycle (short one - 26-29 days on average). CM was favourable two days ago. Could have sworn I ovulated yesterday due to bloating and pain. But the OPKs remain very, very faint (internet cheapies) I test every morning and also tested this evening and still that same faint line. I'm losing my mind wondering why the damn things can't be positive and whether I'm wrong about the CM and ovulation pains! Is my head messing with me and ovulation will happen in a couple of days or am I just infertile.

I'll start monitoring BBT next cycle... I do actually have a child, don't remember being that deranged last time around.

The OPK are leftovers from when I was trying last time around and they're technically expired (Feb 2020) could that be the reason they won't turn positive???

Someone please tell me to calm down x

I probably would get some new OPKs as that could be it!

I think you should start testing 3 times a day now to make sure you don’t miss the surge - it can be very short. I’d say morning, mid-afternoon and early evening just to be sure ☺️

Favorable CM and ov pains sound on the right track though, I have months where OPKs don’t hit peak but I know I’ve ovulated from symptoms before/after. Good luck! Flowers

You need to be testing every 4 hours after a uti be hold over ur fertile window. My tests would be stark negative in the am and then highest peak but 4pm and then negative again by that evening

It's better to test in the afternoon - between 2-10pm are best. I tested at 11am on Tuesday, very faint negative, by 3pm I had a blazing positive, so you can surge quickly. Its entirely possible that you've missed the surge. But listening to your body signals is a good thing, don't get too hung up on the opks. Good luck

Thank you for all the kind comments.

I'm now at day 25 - light spotting, BFN. I'm trying to kid myself into believing it could be an implantation bleed but not quite believing it...

Nothing brings out the craziness like trying to conceive does it???
