Unsure about body temperature and what it means??

I've been feeling a little under the weather recently and I started taking my temp as a precaution, what with the virus and everything. Yesterday evening my temperature was 37.1, I've taken my temperature this morning while still in bed and it was 36.6. I'm around 7 or 8dpo today.

I've heard that temperatures can drop before AF? Does this mean I'm out this month??

Your temperature will go up during the daytime as you are active. I'd ignore the 37.1 for tracking your cycle as it's only your basal body temperature that you use to measure cycle and an evening temp isn't a basal temp. You'll also need a thermometer to two decimal places to accurately track basal body temperature.

Your basal temperature drops before/during AF as you're cooler during your follicular phase than you are during your luteal phase, as the progesterone during your luteal phase causes your body to get warmer.
