Do you think this is a faulty test?

Test 1 looks like a very faint positive taking with first morning urine.

Test 2 taken an hour or two later is negative.

Very cheap tests and very early days possible 10-12 dpo.

The hormone in your FMU will be much stronger compared to urine after an hour hold so very possible you are pregnant just the hormones aren't strong enough to show up on the second.
I also found these tests weren't very sensitive myself, the line was very faint even when I got strong positives on other tests.

Try a different brand tomorrow or give it a few days!
I'd say you're not out yet, best of luck 🤞🏻

Thanks I might buy a more reliable test today.

I'd say test again if you did fmu then only an hour later it will be very watery. Try a good 4+ hr hold and do one if the afternoon I found that the best results especially on the ic tests

I don’t think there’s a thing as false positive, just test with a longer hold later on or first thing tomorrow morn

2020wish · 04/08/2020 14:30

That line looks pink. No such thing as a false positive. An evap line is grey. So that looks positive to me! Ur too early to get a decent line when not using fmu or holding for 4 hours. Try again tomorrow. Congrats!!

No point testing if it's not with FMU.

bea179 · 04/08/2020 17:32

I'd wait a few days then do a FRER with FMU

Wolfgirrl · 04/08/2020 17:35

I can see a line on the second one! I think 2 strong evaps is too much of a coincidence. I would be cautiously optimistic, do a big hold for 4 or 5 hours and try again before bed. Let us know what happens! Good luck

Jointheteam · 04/08/2020 19:30

Thanks I’ll wait a couple of days and try again

I can see a line in the second pic

Neon7 · 04/08/2020 21:31

Yes I see the line again, saw it in your first pic too. Congrats x

This is the cheapie using FMU. A very lighter shadow. I tried the FRER and it’s blank - no hint of a line.

I must admit this wasn’t planned & I wasn’t exactly over joyed so I’m ok if I’m not pregnant. I haven’t had a period for 2 months due to increased exercise (I think) and possibly stress.

We DTD 10-11 days ago unprotected although he pulled out but I took a test just to be sure and yesterday’s results startled me. I was anxious to know as we do not want a pregnancy right now. I’ve had a chemical pregnancy in the past and I think if yesterday’s was positive then this may possibly be a chemical. I guess I’ll know if my period appears in the next week, especially after being absent for 2 months.

I can see a shadow on today's one too OP.

I would do a FRER with FMU tomorrow if you can get hold of one. There looked like the beginning of a line on the FRER yesterday.

Whatever happens hope you're ok.
