Hi!
We’ve been ttc for 3 months now. (I know not long) but why am I getting sore Side boobs every month! I’ve never had this before. Definitely not imagining it they really hurt!
I think I’ve I had a faint positive on ic tests One every month but I’m really not sure if they’re dodgy or something as I’ve got af every time.
I’m so confused right now!
Anybody had this?

I noticed when starting TTC I felt every pregnancy symptom going. I think its because we are more in tune with our bodies and wouldn't normally be.

Were you on hormonal contraceptive before? I was on microgynon and very rarely had sore boobs, now every month for like a week after ovulation I can barely touch them!

MrsSam88 · 01/08/2020 16:20

Nope wasn’t on any contraception before. I’m absolutely certain I didn’t have before they hurt too much not to have noticed! It’s so strange!

@MrsSam88 our bodies are the strangest things aren’t they?! I’ve had the exact opposite, I always knew to the week where my period would be due as my boobs were sooo sore and now I’m TTC, I’ve never got them since. Have you tried new vitamins or anything? I noticed mine went when I started taking Co q10 😊

MrsSam88 · 01/08/2020 16:57

@LS2020 that’s interesting I’ll check mine out.
I’ve been taking evening primrose I’m wondering if it could be that. I may try a month without it, didn’t seem to do much for me anyway

@MrsSam88 yeah it could be linked with that or it could just be that your body is doing something a little bit different as it knows it’s trying to conceive - could it be stress?
But I know, don’t really know why I’m taking co q10 as I’m only 27 so not gonna have bad eggs but feel like I’m doing something 😂

Psychological? Im the same, keep noticing twinges in my boobs then realising they only hurt when i think about pregnancy symptoms. They never hurt.

sarahc336 · 02/08/2020 07:49

It'll be purely psychological as when not ttc you won't have even know when you'd ovulated so you wouldn't be looking out for it and therefore won't have even noticed it. I found when trying to conceive my boobs hurt straight after ovulation but when I wasn't ttc my boobs would hardly hurt even as I was due on, the only difference was that I was tuned into every single ache or twinge Grin x

My boobs have always hurt about a week before I’m due, hormonal contraception or no.

Dollywilde · 02/08/2020 07:53

I had the same! Drove me crazy.

If it’s any consolation, the month I got my BFP (cycle 9 so lots of instances of boob pain in the lead up to AF) it was different. My boobs still ached the day before AF was due (usually it would have cleared up by then) and they just felt really heavy. I was walking into Tesco with DH and commented I felt like I should be wearing a sports bra because just the movement of walking from the car to the supermarket was making them sore.

Of course, I was so jaded by symptom spotting by that point I discounted it and wouldn’t let myself believe. Even when the two lines turned up the next day I didn’t quite believe Grin

Also if its any consolation before my mc last year i was pregnant for a whole 3 months and my boobs didnt hurt at all ever. So boobs that dont hurt dont mean anything. I also didnt get sick. Thr midwife said its not uncommon to get no symptoms thats how so many women can find out much later on.
