Hi!

Is anyone else in their TWW? Currently 8DPO, I ovulated late this cycle on CD 17 (according to temps and OPK!).
Feel like I'm totally symtpom spotting this month - it's my first cycle after my MMC in June, so desperately hoping for our rainbow 🌈. Been using cheapies, all negative ofcourse 🙈. I have some FRER and trying to hold off until at least 11dpo as that's when I was + before....

Anyone else want to join the wait?
x

@Feedyourzen it really has felt like the longest 2 weeks ever!! And now I’m just waiting for AF. I got a negative on 11dpo. And waiting for AF Who should be here tomorrow.

@DancingGiraffe Thank you. AF should be here tomorrow so can hopefully start again after. Awww that’s good to hear. I bet it feels so strange but so exciting for you!!!

Rundle90 · 04/08/2020 09:28

I know what you all mean about the weird feelings in your tummy. I keep getting like tingling/crampy feelings but not like cramps you get with AF it's weird.

The other night dh was laying resting his head on my tummy and it felt like he was laying on a small ball (easiest way to explain it) and it was a uncomfortable so I told him to move 😂 either up to my ribs or down to my lap but not on my tummy. Not sure what that's about but I remember when they did my early scans it felt like they were pressing against like a ball before but honestly I had a very full bladder at that time so not 100%.

If AF has gone back to normal (my old normal pre MC) she should be due this weekend... But hoping she's not obviously! Then I can test eek! Two weeks waiting is killing me ladies, normally two weeks fly by but this time it's dragging 😂.

How is everyone doing today?

Feedyourzen · 04/08/2020 10:01

Morning everyone!

@Rundle90 I know those tingly feeling all too well! This month I felt so in tune with my body and made such an effort to write everything down. The tww feels like a lifetime and I purposely didn't test early this month as I really thought I might be lucky and didn't want to confirm anything. I had such a bad headache yesterday I had to nap in the afternoon and this morning af came bright as anything!

It is a real bittersweet for me this month. Upset that it wasn't what I wanted but also happy that this is the first time in a year that my cycle has been in the "common/normal" range of 26 days. This now takes me to the 4th period of this year. I think taking Vitex and inositol among other supplements has definitely helped my cycle to be shorter this time around. I stumbled across SMEP so will follow that this month. Is anyone else following that? How is everyone feeling?

Jigglypuff88 · 04/08/2020 14:47

Good lord, had a very bfp on a frer. Been feeling weird all week. I usually feel a bit nauseous before my period but had mild nausea for days. Different to my last pregnancy as boobs aren’t that sore.

DancingGiraffe · 04/08/2020 17:40

@Jigglypuff88 omg yayay! How many dpo do you reckon you are then?? Did you get a pic of it?Amazing news!! 😁

@Feedyourzen You're right, it's 100% a win that your cycles have regulated and you can track a bit easier now. What's SMEP? I tracked bbt as well previous cycle, didn't actually help but was interesting to see the ovulation dip!

@Rundle90 FX for you!! You have so much willpower, good on you! I know exactly what you mean about the belly, mine has been super swollen and bloated feeling!! Really bizarre, this never happened last time!

OP posts:
Jigglypuff88 · 04/08/2020 18:37

I must be about 12-13 dpo I reckon. Completely negative £1 strip tests on cd27 and today I am cd30.

Got my fingers crossed for everyone getting a bfp soon. I can’t believe it tbh. I had a traumatic mc before my first baby so hope this one sticks!

2WW! Anyone else?
DancingGiraffe · 04/08/2020 18:41

@Jigglypuff88 what a beautiful line!!! Congrats! Yeah my cheapies are hardly showing but my line today was similiar to yours, frers are amazing!

OP posts:
Jigglypuff88 · 04/08/2020 18:49

Sorry I missed your news @DancingGiraffe - congratulations! Hope you have a lovely pregnancy :)

Yes frer are definitely the best I think. It’s worth splashing out on them.

Rundle90 · 04/08/2020 19:51

@Feedyourzen sorry to hear that ☹️ but as already said atleast your cycles are back to normal so fingers crossed for next month!!

@Jigglypuff88 oh massive congratulations!! So exciting! Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way!!

@DancingGiraffe I'm not sure my willpower is lasting I may have accidentally fallen into Amazon and ordered some early pregnancy tests... So now I will have three 😂 one is a clear blue digital one that gives the weeks and the others I just ordered are the regular line ones. I'll try and hold off to this weekend and test then, or if my willpower lasts and af hasn't come sat or sun I will test Monday as technically Saturday is when she's due but hoping not!

Feedyourzen · 04/08/2020 22:09

Oh congratulations @Jigglypuff88 that is a beautiful line and you must be so excited! So happy for you :))

@DancingGiraffe yes how are you feeling today? I have heard so many great reviews on the frer I think I just need a whole drawer full of them for those moments of testing madness! SMEP is sperm meets egg plan (i know it sounds funny!) It is a guide telling you to BD on cd8 and every other day until opk positive , test opk on cd10 and every day until positive and then BD on that day and the day after.

@Rundle90 fingers crossed for you!!! I don't know if you are trying already but I found doing yoga for the tww (googled on youtube) helped to calm me from having obsessive thoughts about testing.

I had a phone consultation with my acupuncturist today and she felt that my spleen was weak so putting me on some herbal treatment to help nourish the spleen and hopefully regulate my periods also. Roll on cd 8 so I can try again! X

Jigglypuff88 · 05/08/2020 14:53

Thank you all ♥️

AKcheer · 05/08/2020 15:12

Hey guys. Congratulations to all you guys who have got your BFP! So exciting for you all!

Sadly I won’t be joining you. My BFP has arrived :(. So sad. Not too sure what I’m doing wrong. This was my 2nd month TTC and I thought we nailed it. I even used the opks. I just don’t know but I’m so worried now :( x

Rundle90 · 06/08/2020 11:59

@Feedyourzen have to admit I haven't been doing yoga, last time I tried it I didn't enjoy it (not very flexible tbh) but working from home does distract the temptations to test! Only 2 more days to the weekend though!

@AKcheer oh hun sorry to hear that, it does happen though. I think because we are all trying so hard to conceive it becomes stressful and seems like it is taking ages to actually happen. You will get there hun, don't stress yourself out and worry.

DancingGiraffe · 06/08/2020 12:15

@Rundle90 have you managed to hold off of have you given in yet 🙈?

@Feedyourzen actually feeling okay, thanks! Just been extremely tired, bur haven't had much in the way of nausea yet which is good. Just feeling so paranoid after my mc, waiting to test again tomorrow and if lines are still dark I'll phone and make my antenatal appointments I think! Weird abdo twinges have started to subside as well so hoping that's a positive thing! I remember having them constantly before. Ahhh yes I've heard of people using this actually! FX for you! You'll need to keep us up to date!

@AKcheer so sorry to hear 😔 you will get it! It can just take time! You're definitely right @Rundle90, it's so easy to get stressed over because we want it so bad!

How is everyone doing? Any nice plans to take our minds off 🙈?

OP posts:
Rundle90 · 06/08/2020 12:31

@DancingGiraffe I have managed to hold off so far! Only a few more days to wait 😂 it's killing me but it's worth waiting I think! I so have the early test kits that I can use pre AF but I'm worried if I test now I'll get a negative and pop my current bubble of potential happyness.

And agreed it's so easy to get stressed over it as we want it so bad, I'm a bit of a stress ball myself but trying to not stress is difficult!

Rundle90 · 09/08/2020 20:35

I caved today and tested a few minutes ago with a frer test and it came up negative ☹️ meh.

AF hasn't reared her ugly head yet so hopefully not out of the running yet but not entirely sure as AF has been weird since my MC had 2 cycles within 2 weeks of the other last month. I have had some symptoms like achy boobs, light cramps but nothing like normal cramps in the past few weeks so I'll wait into next week and if she doesn't come I'll retest maybe next weekend.

DancingGiraffe · 05/10/2020 09:08

@Jadeb1995 @LuckyFlash @FluffyKittensinabasket @AKcheer @Feedyourzen @Rundle90 @Jigglypuff88

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone's getting on? I ended up miscarrying again unfortunately. Not sure what the issue is, I seem to fall pregnant really easily but can't sustain it. The only silver lining is if it happens again I'll get tests to check if anything is wronh, doc says it could be a blood clotting issue, no idea.

So currently in the TWW again! About 3dpo and feeling horrendous! Not sure if it's a cold or something but been feeling crampy, dizzy and tired, very strange.

OP posts:
AKcheer · 05/10/2020 09:36

Hey @DancingGiraffe I’m so sorry to hear that you miscarried. Have you got an appointment with the doc? Hopefully it is nothing to major or the doc can get to the bottom of it and then you can move forward. I hope you are ok.

Ha the TWW comes so quickly!! How you finding it this time? I had a peak yesterday on OPK so not quite in the TWW yet but yeah just trying to go with the flow. Fingers crossed this is our month this time!

DancingGiraffe · 05/10/2020 10:37

Nice to hear from you @AKcheer! Haven't got any appointments yet, apparantly you have to suffer three miscarriages in row before anyone will do tests...lol. We are okay actually, we didn't get too attached this time for that very reason. It's ashame because after you have a miscarriage it completely sucks the joy out of a bfp!! My doc said I should be able to get an early scan on the NHS rather than going private this time as it's happened twice so we'll see. Just hoping whatever the outcome it happens quickly again! It's annoying cause I've been told to stop strenuous exercising and stop drinking (devasting cause I love a cheeky wine!). I was hoping that staying fit and loosing weight would all help but I've only been okayed for walking and swimming type exercises!

I had peak on an OPK 3 days ago so not sure exactly when I ovulated but I'm assuming within the last 3 days. Still a very slow wait, never gets easier! Although I'm not waiting with excitement (sp?) it's more anticipation. Fingers crossed for us both!

OP posts:
AKcheer · 06/10/2020 08:49

@DancingGiraffe 3 MC? That’s a bit extreme? I thought if you have one you just pop to the docs. Docs make it really hard don’t they these days!

Yeah I can imagine - it must suck the fun out of it. It’s hard to go through I can imagine. That’s good that docs have said early scan - maybe they can help to identify why this happened and help so it doesn’t happen again. How strenuous was your exercise before? Oh gosh this is hard. Who doesn’t love a cheeky wine!! Especially when TTC it’s fun to have a wine!!

Yeah these days it just turns into anticipation doesn’t it! I think we should have DTD yesterday I think it was probably OV day but hubby was just too tired. We tried and it just didn’t happen so that’s a bummer. We could have really done with doing it yesterday. We did on Monday and then Friday but feel like we definitleh haven’t done enough this time. Not holding my hopes high this time!!

DancingGiraffe · 06/10/2020 14:13

@AKcheer I know it's crazy isn't it? Apparantly 1 is really common, 2 is considered uncommon but not abnormal and 3 is considered abnormal so they won't do any tests until we have 1 more. It's awful they make you go through that 3 times! If I could I would go private to speed things up. When it happens again who even knows how long a referral will take!

Well I was trying to loose some weight so I had been doing the Insanity programme but I've been told to stop while ttc, not really sure why it makes a difference unless I'm actually pregnant! I'm not that heavy but could do with loosing a bit, I guess they don't see it as a problem though.

I reckon you should be fine if you DTD on Friday! I read somewhere that the little swimmers can last up to 5 days! Fingers crossed for you! It does get exhausting though, especially when you're tacking ovulation! I'm like Monica from friends shouting "I'M OVULATING LET'S GO" 🤣.

OP posts:
AKcheer · 07/10/2020 14:36

@Oh wow that’s news to me! Sounds unreasonable but I’m not a medic professional so won’t judge! Hopefully it won’t happen again and you won’t need to worry about it!

Ahh yeah insanity is tough. They do say though strenuous exercise can sometimes affect implantation and there’s other things linked which I read so it’s the safest option. I’m such a gym bunny so I’ve tried to calm my training down this month so let’s see what happens.

Hahahaha I tried to take a chilled approach this month but maybe it was too chill and we haven’t done it enough. Hubby has been a bit stressed about it this month though. But I’m telling him not to stress!!

DancingGiraffe · 10/10/2020 08:22

@AKcheer sorry for the late reply, it's been a busy week in work! According to femometer and clue app I'm 7dpo, feeling the weird pressure cramps as I did before but who knows anymore! I'm not really reading into them as much. Do you know your dpo roughly?

OP posts:
AKcheer · 10/10/2020 17:44

Hey @DancingGiraffe tell me about it! Work has been insane! Oh wow really. Fingers crossed!!! I’m not sure how many dpo I am. I usually don’t go onto the app until I think oh my period should be here in a few days because I don’t want to do a countdown on my head or start Googling symptoms at 5 dpo hahahaha. But I feel good and normal haha. This month has been weird me and hubby haven’t DTD as much as we have the other months. Just because we’ve been so busy and because we’ve been going out and socialising before we get put back in lockdown. So it’s a weird month.
