TTC number 2- August

Hi!

I am about to start trying for baby number 2, my DD is 2 and it finally feels like the right time. I’m 30 and luckily got pregnant with DD very quickly, hoping for the same luck this time round. I’m excited to give my little one a sibling but also nervous about the sleepless nights again and the thought of juggling 2 little ones!

Anyone else about to start trying for baby number 2?

How is everyone doing? When is everyone’s August testing date?

@MissMini yes they would definitely call me out on not drinking, it’s my birthday whilst we are away and if I don’t have one that eve they will definitely guess!! If I would be 8 weeks I would just tell them but if I do get pregnant this month I will be 4 weeks by then and that just feels too soon to tell anyone.

Hello! @Amelia891 doing ok so far - still so early though so I'm at that trying not to get too excited phase. Feeling a bit more real now. Not really got any symptoms except a few little tingly feelings in my uterus, maybe some mild stretchy feelings?! No sore boobs... feels totally different to last time. I did another CB and the line a bit darker again but I'm going to try not to test again or I'll drive myself mad.

Finding it a bit hard not to worry about how much I'm picking up and putting down heavy, wriggly DD though!

I’m planning to test Friday which is 3 days before AF is due - I’ve already tested and had a BFN but reckon it’s way too early so not feeling too disheartened yet.

I'm ok thanks, still bleeding but feeling fine- I was honestly just at a point where I wanted to know one way or the other. I'm able to find a fair few positives of not being pregnant this month, not sure if I'll cope so well if we're still here in 6 months time! My next test date won't be for ages so I'm channelling my energies into house hunting!

@glowingtwig all sounds positive at your end! I'm sure picking up your DC won't be harming #2, they're amazingly well cushioned in there. I do remember worrying about things like our dog kicking me in the stomach whilst dreaming with DS so I understand! 😂

@mummabubs house hunting is exciting 😊. Good to have a distraction while ttc.

Hi All! Joining a bit late, but i'm also TTC #2. Been trying for quite a while but have got a bit more serious about properly trying (as opposed to just dtd whenever we felt like it) for the past few months. Today is, I think, either Ov day or 1DPO.

I feel like it was so much easier when I fell pregnant with DS#1! I was mid 20's then though, which probably helped!

Another late joiner here hi all!

We have started trying this month for #2, have 3 year old boy. No idea how long it will take as it happened instantly with him. Looks like I'm ovulating now so just going to DTD and see what happens.

I was unwell with PND after birth and beyond of my son so hoping birth will be kinder to me this time round...

I’m like 80% leaning towards waiting until next month... if it was a case of holiday being in a few months I would just go for it now but it’s going to be so much easier (and let’s be honest more fun!) if I just wait 4 more weeks. That will mean I’m ovulating around 12th/13th Sep, have a nice couple of weeks on hol then test on 27th Sep. If hol gets cancelled I’m going to be so annoyed at how much I over thought this 😅

DH still thinks we should just go with it this month if we are in the mood so we’ll see 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi everyone! First month ttc #2. Ds is 18 months. Took 6 months to conceive him. Worried it was a fluke - my cycles are majorly irregular (can be from 20-50 days although at the moment have been round the 30 mark). Thinking it's going to take a lot longer this time. I'm going to use clearblue advanced sticks as they worked well last time!

Not sure what’s gone on with me this week, I always get really intense stomach ache on my right side on ovulation day and for the first time in months I’ve had nothing so I’m wondering if I didn’t ovulate 🤷🏼‍♀️ After saying we were going to definitely wait one more month, we went to a friends 30th on Saturday, had too much Prosecco and let’s just say I’m back in with a chance this month now 😅 if I even ovulated.

@Amelia891 😂 will keep my fingers crossed! Prosecco has a lot to answer for. When is AF due?

AF is due on 30th so we’ll see! X

I was pretty impatient and I had a few BFN’s testing too early - I think I was around 11 days?

When you planning to test or will you wait til AF is late?

I will wait until AF is due as I think this month will be unlikely. Unless I feel any kind of symptoms. Did you have any symptoms? x

Hi ladies, hope I can join in. I have a 22m DD and we have decided to try for baby boy 2. We fell pregnant instantly with DD but I’m already worrying it won’t happen this time around. I’m a negative nancy! My periods are a bit irrational since birth...used to be 28 days but can sometimes be a bit longer now 🤷🏻‍♀️ Congratulations on all the positive tests

@Amelia891 Just some cramps and sore boobs. Really similar to AF being due to arrive to be honest. Good news if you are but I guess you can have a wee drink on hols if you’re not?

I’m the same with worrying, we were so lucky with DD1 I’m just hoping things happen that quickly again but who knows! x

I am 2 days late and had a few super faint lines on ic's but I dont think this is my month.

@Orlandoflorida1 I wanted them to be quite close in age. My sister and I are and have been really close and I’m getting on a bit so didn’t want to wait too long! Just accepting it’s going to be hard work 😊.
