4 Chemicals and MMC in 1 year - Finally getting tested

Had a call from my consultant at the rmc today, went through all my history.

She’s sending me for thyroid tests, AMH I think, day 3 and 21 bloods, ultrasound and hubby for sperm analysis. I’ll also get progesterone suppositories when I get pregnant again and extra scans.

For the last year I’ve been to and fro from the doctors as they dismissed me, it took my most recent miscarriage a mmc to get a referral. And with that I had medical management, an ERPC and a hysteroscopy and D&C. Can’t have the bloods done for another 5 weeks as only had a negative test a week ago.

Is there any other tests which I should ask her for? She seemed pretty on it so I didn’t know if she is missing anything. I’m just so pleased I’m finally able to be checked.

@TTCROYGBIV was that your first contact with the fertility specialist? Sorry I don't have any advice to give but just wanted to say your post was useful to me as I'll be requesting a referral of my period arrives next week and it's given me an idea what to expect/ask for.

@Semele5069 Yes I went to the doctors several times about the miscarriages last year, even changed doctors surgeries but that doctor said he wouldn’t refer until after 2 years of ttc! Even though we’d been trying almost a year and I am 35. Smug git even said “see I told you it would happen” when I got pregnant.

I think you have to go in firm and tell them you want a referral.

It’s taken me a year of heartache and not being listened to. Thankfully the hospital, gynae and EPU referred me straight away and had my telephone appointment around 9 weeks after the misoprostol which would’ve worked out well if the misoprostol had worked and I was able to have some of the blood tests.
