Copper Coil removal - how long did it take you to fall pregnant?

Hi!

So after years of umming and arring and talking myself out of trying for a baby thinking of every excuse under the sun, I woke up recently and just decided that I am ready and luckily the husband has been very ready for a long time. I now have a doctors appointment next week to have my copper coil removed (scary, but so exciting!)

Now that i'm ready, i'm already feeling very impatient (very typical of me) and i'd like to know how long it took you to conceive after you had the copper coil removed?

Some background info, i'm 32, a smoker (but i'm quitting, have gone from 20 a day to 4 a day in the last 2 weeks) and I have been taking folic acid for 2 weeks.

Coil removal triggered an early period, i was pregnant by the time the next period was due (30 day cycle, 31yo at the time). I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so fast (though obviously I knew it was a possibility)

My 1st Cycle! Had it removed mid April after my period for that month ended then had some bleeding a week after which was to be expected followed by one normal cycle in May and got pregnant on that cycle.

During the next cycle

Coil removed 14 June 2010. BFP 6th November 2010. Didn't start charting my cycle until around September 2010 though. Necessary for me as my cycles run between 22 and 35 days, seemingly at random.
DC2. Coil removed April 2012, casually not trying or preventing until August 2012 when we actively started trying. BFP 10 September 2012.

First cycle for me too! Had the copper coil as emergency contraception 8 weeks after I had DD so June 2018, had it removed 4th Sept last year and got my BFP on 21st October, DS is now 2 and a half weeks old

Copper coil removed March, started trying April, pregnant November. My cycles were normal pretty much straight away, although was a bit weird having lighter and shorter periods - nothing to complain about though!

Next cycle for me too.

Very quickly!! My doctor didn't believe me at my first prenatal appointment when I told her how recently I had my coil removed. It was within a few weeks.
