Anyone ever been pregnant after getting “not pregnant” on a CB digi?

So I’ve had two crazy faint positives at what I think was 10 and 11 dpo. Saved my CB digi for the day my period is due (today) and it says “not pregnant”. I know I’m not OUT out until I get my period buuuut I’m feeling pretty disheartened now!

Do I now go and smash a bottle of wine to commiserate OR has anybody got any hopeful stories where CB digi said not pregnant and then they actually turned out to be pregnant?

(Yeah I know it’s 8am, I meant wine with lunch...) 😂

I had this the other day. Very faint crosses and then a not pregnant. Tested the next day and got a pregnant

emiliet123 · 19/07/2020 08:05

@Lineeyes1986 ohhh okay okay first story is a good one! So... it’s a no to the wine? 😂 in all seriousness tho - congrats! 🥰

That was 14 and 15 days po

Lineeyes1986 · 19/07/2020 08:06

I’d hold fire on the wine for a few more days Grin

Lineeyes1986 · 19/07/2020 08:07

This was the first two and then the positive the next morning

Digital tests aren’t as sensitive so it can take a couple of extra days for them to show as positive.

Sipperskipper · 19/07/2020 08:11

Yep. Positive on an FRER, negative the next day on a CB digi. They need higher levels of HCG to register. Im now 33 weeks pregnant.

emiliet123 · 19/07/2020 08:17

Thanks girls, that’s cheered me up a bit! I have a couple of tests waiting for me at home (thank you, Amazon) so I mean hopefully one of those will be a bit more sensitive! I literally have NO signs of AF coming so I’m kinda perplexed if I’m not preggo! My cycles have been a bit off recently, 32, 28, 26, 26, and now 29 (so far) so I’m feeling really hopeful 😖

Keeping everything crossed for you!

emiliet123 · 19/07/2020 11:55

@Sipperskipper Cheers! I’m probably going to try a test when I get home this afternoon... but not a digi one. 😂 wondering if my pee was too diluted or something cos I was BURSTING when I woke up this morning and I’ve heard some women get stronger results in the afternoon. It’s after my period is due anyway so surely hcg levels should be strong enough 🤷🏼‍♀️

mummyjojo19 · 19/07/2020 17:44

@emiliet123 did you do a test what was the outcome? Everything crossed for you xx

Juno231 · 19/07/2020 20:36

OP did you test?!

emiliet123 · 19/07/2020 21:03

It was negative this afternoon! Still no period though... it’s a mystery 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m exactly the same, two faint positives today and then a negative clear blue. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Gin4thewin · 19/07/2020 21:09

Ive always been told the cb digis need alot of pregnancy hormones to work. Maybe worth waiting a little while but carry on using the cheapies. I tried to only test every other day for progression as pregnancy hormones double every 48 hours

cookiesaurus · 19/07/2020 21:22

The Clear blue digitalis usually take longer to show up as they require a higher level of HCG.

🤞🏻 and good luck

emiliet123 · 19/07/2020 21:31

I’ve only got one test left and I really don’t wanna spend any more money on them 😂 I’m testing tomorrow morning first thing and then once that is done I’m just going to wait until hubs has picked up some with the supermarket shop. Let him spend money on them!

@Elllicam oooh good luck! Let me know tomorrow how you get one x

Honestly I'd try a first response test first

The only digital with a high level of sensitivity is the British edition of the Clearblue Digital with Weeks Indicator which has a sensitivity of 10miu compared to the standard clearblue of 25miu

holdmyfrylight · 19/07/2020 22:17

I did a first response and got a positive and then a negative on clear blue digital. This was about 10/11 days after ovulation (or rather DTD since it was the only time I could have possibly got pregnant). I think it was another few days until I got a positive digi. I posted on here and someone said the digi aren't as sensitive. DC is 2 in the next few weeks despite the negative digi.

WishMyNameWasWittyNotShitty · 19/07/2020 22:29

I did 3 times 🙈 that 'not pregnant', is now fast asleep dreaming of the chaos he can cause tomorrow!

Good luck, my fingers are crossed for you x
