Is it possible to ovulate this late in my cycle? What's going on?

Hey, I'm trying for a baby but I have very irregular periods. The cycles vary between 28-55. Each month fluctuates. Therefore it is very difficult for me to know when I ovulate.
I decided to buy some Ovulation strip tests off Amazon great reviews on the item made sure I got the good stuff, and I am wondering if you think I am ovulating right now.

On the picture, the top strip is the test I took at 8:00am today and the second strip is the one I took at 5:30pm today, I can see a slight darkness in the test line at the 5:30 one I'm just sceptical.
The most important factor is, my last period started 28th May and ended 3rd June. So therefore it is day 44 and according to this app I have on my phone I should of started my period by now.
So why am I positive on my ovulation test?
I have noticed a change in discharge it's a sticky egg white texture today which indicated ovulation.
I am just very confused and really hoping to get pregnant this time so I don't want to false hope myself again.
What do you all think?
Is it possible to ovulate THIS late in your cycle ?

@Rosie0812 yes it's possible, as you have irregular cycles this would suggest you often ovulate very late in your cycle, although of course it's possible to not ovulate and still get AF. Do you temp? I'm CD25 at the mo and not ovulated yet, have had EWCM for two days but no positive OPK yet though. I stopped the pil in April and my cycles aren't back to normal yet 😔

Since you have irregular cycles I'd say it's possible you're ovulating this late. Have you been using OPKs the whole cycle?
