The dreaded 2ww - Spotting and symptoms

I am new here :)
I am currently 7dpfet on my first IVF cycle. I had a very good quality 5 day blast transferred last Thurs and official test date is 16th July.
This morn I have had brown discharge.. a very small amount really but have been terrified to go to the loo since..
Got very sore boobs since 4 days ago and have had some feelings that I can only explain as electric shocks in the last couple of days.

Anyone got any experience? Or is there anyone else on their 2ww and also needs some support?? x

Good luck!! I'm testing on 18th, after two miscarriages - so really hoping it happens, and it sticks.

SunshineHope · 11/07/2020 06:42

@LittleBrownBaby thank you, sorry to hear of your MCs

@SunshineHope hi. I am 5dp5dt (frozen). And I am constantly symptom spotting. It’s actually annoying me so much lol.
This is my 5th transfer, but my last was successful. So, I feel like I should if it’s worked or not!
How are you feeling now? Faint line is good news

BeHereNowx32 · 11/07/2020 07:45

@LittleBrownBaby also sorry to hear about your miscarriages
Good luck

SunshineHope · 11/07/2020 07:47

@BeHereNowx32 I think days 4-7 were the worst days for me So far because I was constantly symptom Spotting then!!
I read that some people get absolutely no symptoms and it seems it’s more common not to get symptoms than to get them.. also when I got spotting it actually worried me rather than made me feel any better as I always just assume the worst!
I’m a little excited this morning for the first time in a very long time.. we’ve been going through fertility investigations and treatments for four years now, trying IUIs and the talks of donor sperm so now to have finally reached our first try at IVF feels like a relief!
My mum said to me when we started all of this ‘if the embryo doesn’t stick then it wasn’t meant to be, there may be something that could harm you or the baby and that will be why it left’. I’m not sure if that would make anyone else feel any better but it has really helped me get my head around the possibility of this not working!
Do you have any frozen embryos left? I really hope this works out for you! X

@SunshineHope I hope this is your time. It is really hard going!
I did have symptoms with my successful cycle. But they were so subtle that I couldn’t tell I was pregnant. The symptoms can also be a side effect from progesterone that we are taking too.
Aw. Yeah, sounds like your mum is trying to make things easier to cope with. We have no control over what happens once the embryo is inside us!
I have one other frozen embryo.

LittleBrownBaby · 12/07/2020 19:17

@BeHereNowx32 and @SunshineHope

Thank you both.

Keeping everything crossed for you!

I did a 6day early test and thought I could see a faint line, if I squinted, with a magnifying glass, help up to the light etc etc ..... 😂

Your mum sounds like a good egg (excuse the pun) xx

SunshineHope · 12/07/2020 20:00

@LittleBrownBaby Exciting! Since my very faint line on my test I’ve been feeling more relaxed.. I am going to test again tomorrow and that will be 3 days early, then I think if it’s negative I’ll be able to get my head around things sooner :)
Will you test again before your official date?

@SunshineHope @LittleBrownBaby Good news that you have both had positives. Good luck if you do anymore tests. My OTD is Wednesday. (Blood test).
I did not sleep well last night. Could be from having lots of my mind. But my stomach was so sore too. Seems ok this morning, so not looking much into it.
Hope you’re both well.

SunshineHope · 13/07/2020 10:15

@BeHereNowx32 Best of luck for Wednesday, not long to wait at all now! Please let us know how you get on x

@SunshineHope thank you. Feeling a bit nervous. Always feel like I should know if it’s worked or not by now! X

LittleBrownBaby · 14/07/2020 16:13

Good luck today @BeHereNowx32

How are you getting on @SunshineHope?

I feel Pretty rough, which I'm hoping is a good thing! I'm going to test tomorrow morning, still feel like it's not going to happen - I have so many PMS symptoms which cooooooould be pregnancy symptoms!

SunshineHope · 14/07/2020 18:10

I am okay thank you @LittleBrownBaby - how are you?

I caved and did a test this morning (2days early) and it was a very clear positive! I did test a week or so ago and that was negative so I’m hoping this one is the real deal. I’m still keeping fingers crossed for my official date and don’t think I’ll believe it until I’ve phoned the clinic.

I have also had PMS symptoms for most of my 2 weeks.. have you done any more tests?

LittleBrownBaby · 15/07/2020 07:13

@SunshineHope congratulations!!!!! That is absolutely amazing. I hope it's all smooth from here

@BeHereNowx32 I thought it was Wednesday all day yesterday! Good luck today.

I have taken a test this morning with FMU and very much a negative. I'm still way before my period is due and should probably just chill out a bit!

SunshineHope · 15/07/2020 08:53

@BeHereNowx32 Good luck for today!

@LittleBrownBaby I had a negative early on too, don’t be disheartened and keep your spirits up :)

@BeHereNowx32 AMAZING!!!!! Congratulations 🥳

BeHereNowx32 · 16/07/2020 07:11

Thank you. Wishing you both lots of luck for the next stages/ tests etc xx

LittleBrownBaby · 26/07/2020 17:24

@BeHereNowx32 @SunshineHope hope you're both feeling ok. I got my positive a few days ago and feeling ok so far. How's it going for you both?

SunshineHope · 30/07/2020 14:23

@LittleBrownBaby Congratulations! How do you feel?
I also had my positive a couple of weeks ago - according to online calculators that now makes me almost 7 weeks pregnant. I am sooooo tired and also quite nauseous but find snacking all day helps that. No complaining here, just so so happy right now!
I'm also trying to take each week as it comes and not worry. We have wanted a baby for so long so I'd really like to enjoy the pregnancy and not think "what if" all the time.
Hope you are doing okay!

Hi- I am new here. I am 42 and in the 2ww of my first round of ivf.
This morning I have had heavy period like discharge- sorry for the information- but it was brownish and mucus like. It feels just like a period.
My test is on 21st July.
Anyone experience something like this? Does this mean the ivf has definitely failed?
