So did anybody know they were pregnant before they tested? Everybody says you just "know". Did anybody feel different? Is there anybody who didnt feel any different and ended up pregnant?

I did one after the condom broke and I took the MAP- I kinda forgot about it then a few weeks later i completely went off alcohol (unlike me) and started feeling sick at 11am every day for about a week. I took one not thinking it would be positive and thought it would all be in my head. It was positive.

Newmama29 · 06/07/2020 18:40

Me! I originally thought I had a 2 day hangover, then a week long virus as I was just completely floored & exhausted! I then just knew it was something pregnancy related (I had an ectopic before), my skin was a mess with spots like I had before too. I had 3 negative pregnancy tests before I finally got my positive. I thought I was going crazy lol! I was 6 days late before I got my positive

Only a select few people know i am TTC and have all said i will "just know" but im struggling to believe that i will Hmm

Yes because my boobs were killing me 😣

Frlrlrubert · 06/07/2020 19:02

Nope.

I'd had increasingly long cycles and a fair few negatives, and after not having a period from October to Jan I decided I'd better see a GP. Thought I'd best poas first as I knew that would be the first question.

Quite obviously positive!

I panicked a bit cos I had no idea how far along I was, but got a CBD 2-3 the next day so yeah, I must have ovulated on day 62 of my cycle!

xoxochellexoxo · 06/07/2020 19:09

@Frlrlrubert omg thats fabby news, i have slightly wonky cycles so have no idea when i ovulate ect, i have a phone appt tomoro morning with the GP as i have been trying for a year now

No. We’d been trying for 10 months and to be honest every month I’d come up with some sort of symptom that could legit be ‘it’. The weekend I got my BFP I tested on the Sunday, which was the day AF was due. My boobs were really painful but that was often an AF symptom for me. We were away with friends and I was determined not to think about it because the disappointment of TTC was really getting to me by that point!

Stringervest · 06/07/2020 19:15

Yes. The day my period was due everything had a metallic taste, only for an hour or two, but I knew from that because it's never happened to me. Didn't happen on my first pregnancy.

It’s more a mental thing, like something just clicks not really a physical thing, you know? I certainly did. Something just shifted and I sort of knew. Like I knew the sex of my babies but never found out. It’s a massive surprise ( well not for me obvs) but it nice to wonder of boy/girl! Anyway sorry wee bit of a tangent there but it’s more like a ‘ sense’ than a physical thing I reckon.

Daveanddell · 06/07/2020 19:24

The morning after DTD I was half asleep in bed when something in my mind said ‘I’m pregnant’. I brushed the thought aside because I thought I’d ovulated a week previously. About 5 days later I was lying on the sofa and freezing cold to the bone. This went on for about 24 hours and the only other time I remember feeling like it was after conceiving with my first. At that point I knew I was pregnant but waited another few days before testing.

Both times I’ve had the extreme feeling of being cold around when I guess implantation would be.

Graphista · 06/07/2020 19:25

Not only did I know all 3 times WAY before I tested, I also knew I wasn't pregnant on several occasions when I'd late/missed periods and was producing false positive tests (quirk of my body it's rare) and medics were insisting I was pregnant.

1st 2 pregnancies I had very early symptoms, with dd I just "knew" the weekend I conceived and I was right, even to the point they had my dates wrong initially and they were corrected after scan.

Everyone is different though, I also knew a woman who her 3rd pregnancy she had no idea until she went into labour and I'd seen her just a few days before she had that baby and she was slim and had NO bump!

Bodies can be weird.

Yes my boobs felt sore and hard, I was weeing much more than usual but most bizarrely weird metallic taste in my mouth. I had the same symptoms both times.

passthemustard · 06/07/2020 19:56

I don't think I 'knew' but I definitely suspected.

I find I get (sorry tmi) sore boobs and a creamy white cm. whereas when I'm not pregnant and approaching period I have no cm.

xoxochellexoxo · 06/07/2020 20:13

Thankyou for all your replys its nice to hear different takes on it all. I cant wait till its my time and then i can have a story tk share

Pregnancies 2 and 3 yes.
First, no - but my Mum did!! I met up with her before I tested and she said to my sis that she thought I was pg.

Ken1976 · 06/07/2020 22:19

Long long ago in the 1970s I went to the doctor with my third pregnancy . No over the counter tests in those days . He had a trainee GP with him who asked me for a list of my symptoms ie morning sickness , tender boobs etc etc . I had none only delayed period so he pronounced negative for pregnancy but my actual GP agreed with me . My second son was born 8 months later . I just knew that I was pregnant

Mrschips07 · 06/07/2020 22:22

Yes absolutely knew. It was our first cycle TTC so we were lucky. Just felt different.

MrsDrambuie · 06/07/2020 22:31

No. We were TTC for 2 years and I’d stopped looking for symptoms. 28 day cycle, only DTD twice that month, tested negative on day 31, positive on day 33. The only thing that felt strange during that particular month is that I was totally calm when (a) I almost missed a flight and (b) I had to drive in the heaviest snow I’ve seen in my life. I found out later that some women actually report a strange sense of calm as an early pregnancy symptom... 🤔

Wishing56 · 06/07/2020 22:31

I didn't exactly 'know' but to this day I have no idea why I took a pregnancy test on the day I did - I was 9dpo and wasn't planning on testing, but I got home from work and just went straight upstairs and did it so not even FMU.
The only thing I had was a heavy feeling in my womb that didnt feel like I was getting my period.
I now have 5month old twin girls Smile

MyDarlingWhatIfYouFly · 07/07/2020 00:57

Yes, I ran down the stairs a5 work and my boobs were so painful I had to grab them 😂 Hadn.t noticed until that moment.

Feelingpoorlysick · 07/07/2020 00:58

Yes, my boobs were agony!
