Implantation instead of period?

Hi everyone,

TTC, thought I was just starting cycle 4, had a chemical cycle 2.

Wondering if anyone can help shed some light on what might be going on. I was due AF 1st July, it arrived 2nd July. Before this I had tested early for pregnancy (at what I believe was 8DPO, 10DPO and 13DPO) and all were BFN's so was fully preparing for AF and no surprise when she arrived.

The only thing is that I should now be on day 3 of AF and typically that would mean cramping and a heavy-ish flow. But it's just about completely stopped. I bled for less than a day and even at that it was pretty much just spotting.

Is there a chance this could be implantation bleeding? Should I take another pregnancy test in a few days maybe? Or has my chemical possibly just messed up my cycle?

Thanks for any advice! 💛

Hi OP!

Its really hard to say, it seems that after a chemical it can mess with your system a bit (speaking from my own experience) and also your cycle can be randomly short and periods missing for no reason at all, or stress, or a change of routine. On the other hand it could have been an IB. Only way to say for sure is to see how it goes and take a test. As long as you are in no pain and not bleeding heavily, it doesn't hurt to wait and see.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, @Mrschips07

I think I was trying to hold onto some hope of being pregnant, but have done another test and it was a BFN again. Just going to treat it as a weirdly short unusual period and move on to the next cycle of trying.

@DawnLaura Completely understand. I have been there.

I would say if you are past 13dpo, haven't had a positive test and have had bleeding its probably fair to assume it hasn't been your month this time, however there are stories on here of course, and there are always exceptions.

Take care, and I hope you get what you wish for.
