AF week early, now faint positive 11 days later?

Hi,

I’m new to Mumsnet, although I’ve been reading the posts for quite a while when looking for help.

I really need some advice , as I am so confused...

My lmp was due 26/06. It arrived early on 21/06. Sorry for tmi but was brown, a bit of dark red but mainly ‘old blood’ but heavy enough to fill pads, for 3-4 days, then tailed off, as it usually does.

SO stereotypical , (and probably all in my head) but I’ve been feeling sick for about a week, dizzy And from about 9dpo lmp had Light cramps. About 3 days after my weird AF I had cramps, I had a tugging feeling low down and weird pulling/pinching then tingly feelings. I also have continued to have ewcm ever since ovulation, which is strange as I usually ‘dry up’ completely. It is still there, and there’s lots of it (sorry tmi! blush)

I’ve taken cheapie tests. 1st one , a week ago, came up negative. Then I took a better (but still cheap) one 2 days ago with fmu. It looked negative to the naked eye... so of course I went and tweaked it ... hmm after doing that, I could see a very faint line. I’m not sure how to post pictures?

Is this even possible? That I could actually be pg, despite bleeding, and negative tests up until now? I’m very skeptical, I think right now I just want to know... I will test again, with a better test, in a few days. I don’t even know when my next af would be due or anything now.

Hi I've not much advice but is it possible you could have ovulated later than you thought?
I'd recommend using a frer as they're more sensitive than other test.

If you were getting a faint line maybe wait a few days and retest, it might just be an indent on the test you are seeing when you are inverting the picture etc. If you were pregnant from the last cycle but still had a period you’d have a dark line on a pregnancy test by now as you’d be about 6 weeks pregnant. I’ve had weird short cycles randomly, it’s happened more the last few years after I’ve had children and creeped into my mid 30s.

Hi, this happened to me last cycle. I had some weird bleeding 2 weeks before my supposed AF. It was too heavy to be an IB, but too light for my usual AF. Went on about 4 days and stopped. I could have sworn that I had nausea, my boobs were sore as heck but whenever I tested, I would always get a BFN. And then my AF arrived around 3 weeks after that. And here I am, trying all over again this cycle :)

Really hoped yours is a start of a BFP though, maybe keep testing every other day with FMU and see if the line gets any darker?

Thanks for your replies, yes maybe I ovulated late , I don’t track my ovulation with opks, nor do I temp etc. my cycles are usually 26-27 days usually quite regular. I’m skeptical , but have read some posts about people not getting bfp until x amount of days after af due, likewise I have also read posts about bleeding during early oh and going on to have healthy pregnancies. I don’t know, I think it’s just wishful thinking me and DH have a 7 year old and up until 2 months ago were pretty certain we didn’t want any more than the 1. Idk what’s changed but I’m 30 and maybe it’s my biological clock telling me to make more babies lol.

DD keeps saying to me ‘you’ve got a baby in your tummy’ and very often talks about when she will have a baby brother or sister ..... strange DH said maybe she knows something that we don’t?! Lol

@Phantasmagorical0 I think its hard to say, it seems like anything can happen and there will always be threads/stories of all kinds of experiences.

I agree with PP, perhaps give it a few days and test again. I think you can post pics after 48 hours also.

@Mrschips07 thank you yes I will test again in a few days (this time with a better test!) and thanks for info I will trying posting the photo after the 48 hrs

@Phantasmagorical0 in the posting box there is a little paperclip icon, you can upload it there. I think if you are new it makes you wait 48h tho!

@Mrschips07 ah yes I found it, thanks so much they are all cheapie tests. And all tweaked. The 1st one was done on Tuesday just gone , the second & third (same test) taken Wednesday. I think I can see a VERY faint line but I’m skeptical.... which is why I need the valuable opinion of fellow mn users ! All the original photos were taken in the time frame according to test instructions.

Sorry for TMI, but yesterday I had so much creamy cm... like loads ... This never ever happens, the last time I had it and this much was when I was pg with DD, from what I remember (she’s now 7!) and I’ve got twinges low and and so much bloating and pain from trapped wind... it’s actually so bad.

Would just love to know what’s going on with my body rn

I find that when I tilt the screen it shows a bit more.... but then again I don’t know if it’s my eyes playing tricks on me

@Phantasmagorical0 I can see what you mean, it is very faint though. How many dpo are you again? I would wait 48h and try again.

At least i know I’m not going mad 😂 my lmp was due 26/06. I had a weird bleed that started on 22/06 and lasted 3-4 days. It was different than usual and I’m usually quite regular with my cycles. Never that early anyway. It’s been nearly 2 weeks since that bleed started ... so I should be getting positive tests by now I guess unless I ovulated late, hence implanted late. I’ve read stories and posts of that happening and ladies getting bfp quite late as a result. But I’m not in denial about it and I’m going to call my GP on Monday anyway, because if I’m not pg then there has to be some other explanation to the way I’m feeling ...

Yes I’m going to wait until Monday or even Tuesday to test again. I will just have to be patient, not my greatest trait though lol...

I think I will buy a better test too
