So in a nutshell, I'm not trying. Me and my partner had 1 drunken night without use of protection (our faults) and that was obviously all it took!

We have a 6 month old and for that reason we ideally wanted to wait til she was a toddler, but here we are!

Anyway, am I going crazy or is this a line?

I also had pink spotting yesterday and brown today so unsure if that's a bad thing?

I can see it

Ohnoherewego62 · 02/07/2020 07:14

I see that!

MummyGoingItAlone · 02/07/2020 07:20

That is definitely a line!

sophiemarie2020 · 02/07/2020 07:28

Oh lord 😩😩 I'm so scared I don't know what to do. Me and my partner wanted to wait until we had bought a house (currently searching for the right one and saving pennies) because we are renting, and wanted our 6 month old to be at least a year old before we had another baby. But I also cannot imagine going down the other option we have. What do I do 😭

I can see it OP. You'll be fine, you'll adjust and a few years from now you'll be glad they were close in age as they'll occupy each other. 15 months difference between them is OK. I am a teacher and on a few occasions have had siblings (not twins) in the same class and I think WOW! That mum is super woman!

sophiemarie2020 · 02/07/2020 07:59

@Russell19 that's reassuring, I'm just in shock at the moment I had a plan of action and it's just completely gone out the window now. It's like we have 2 holidays next year booked and for one il be almost due and the second il have a 3 month old and a 18 month old 😩

You learn to adapt! I have two with a 16 month age gap, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Okay so you have plans that will have to be put on hold, my plans were to be half way through uni, have bought my own house, and be able to afford everything we want. Then my little surprise came along, and although I've had to defer uni, and rent again until something better comes along. I've had to put 3 years of holidays on hold, then this happened so couldn't take them away, but Im so so so glad I've had them both at the age I did and the gap I did because they're the best of friends.

ty1996 · 02/07/2020 08:02

You will be fine

mumof23188 · 02/07/2020 08:24

@sophiemarie2020 I can see it too but I had the same recently and then AF showed up. Will add the picture of mine. You will have to test again in a couple of days to see if the line is any darker.

I’ve had some dodgy experiences with FRER just lately and it seems a few others have too. I’ve had lines albeit very faint and then tested again the day after and nothing. They weren’t chemicals as I have had many chemicals and know what to expect and this is different. Quite a few others have had the same thing too so before you panic wait and test again in a couple of days to be just to be sure and see if the line darkens xx

sophiemarie2020 · 03/07/2020 07:28

Yeah I don't think I'm pregnant. Done 1 digital that said not pregnant, then 2 clear blue early detection but one was invalid and the second no lines which says on the packet your not pregnant. But I'm going to do 1 more first response in a few days unless AF shows up. I have had on and off pink spotting so god knows!

I think that’s the best way and if there is a dark line on a first response then yes but these faint lines are no longer reliable. Shame really as first response were always by far the best for very early testing but I’m not sure anymore. Good luck xx

wrensandrobins · 03/07/2020 10:03

I have had a few false positives from first response, some even darker than your picture, I don't trust them any more

sophiemarie2020 · 03/07/2020 10:14

It's so strange they did use to be the best, it's weird, even though I wasn't planning it and it would of been awful timing, I feel mega deflated and kind of upset! Think it's because I got my head around the idea of it yesterday incase I was.

Just read your post. Don't panic about the age gap, you'll adapt and cope 😊 I would retest with a FRER as digitals need a lot higher level of pregnancy hormone to show a positive and blue dye (guessing with Clear Blue) are notorious for not been accurate. Good luck!
MATTSMAMMA · 03/07/2020 10:57

Yes that’s true Clearblue digital are way less sensitive than FRER. I think when you get a pink line with FRER that is visible without squinting and turning it in different directions (I’m not the only one who does this right?!) then that is definitely a positive Smile and will show up in a digital a few days after xx
