Bfp frer then lighter line next day - any hope?

Hiya,

Over the last few days I have had very faint squinter lines on various tests. Yesterday I was 11dpo and got what I thought to be a bfp on a frer with second morning urine (see photos). The line was obvious and pink.

This morning (12dpo) I got another line but it was significantly lighter and this has continued for other tests today. My camera wont pick it up.

Has anyone had this happen and end up being pregnant? Is there any chance of the lines darkening tomorrow? I've been spotting on and off for the last few days so keep thinking chemical pregnancy but I was so convinced that yesterdays line would progress. 😥

Hiya, at the beginning of a pregnancy hcg doubles every few days so one day may have not made much of a difference to your test line but it could definitely darken tomorrow or in a few days time 😊 my test was completely negative at first and then 2 days later I got a light positive, so it usually takes time for hcg to build up. Good luck to you and I really hope this has a positive outcome for you 💕

I can't help much with yours but I'm in a similar situation. Few days of faint positives (varying in line strength) then this morning was a barely there line. I am guessing I am out and mine were all evaps but they were pink so I think I've had bad luck! Hope yours turns into a positive, fingers crossed for you 🤞 Keep us updated x

Thanks ladies! ! My spotting is heavier today and I'm pretty sure I'm seeing virtually nothing on the frers. I'm getting squinters on internet cheapies.

I spoke to first response and when I asked if tests should get darker every few days they said:
All First Responseâ„¢ pregnancy tests are qualitative tests designed to detect the presence of hCG in urine. They do not determine the levels or amount of hCG in the urine sample.

This makes it sound like the line wont get darker but with my first baby I saw a huge difference in line colour every couple of days so who knows!

I'm leaning towards chemical pregnancy now but I haven't had one before so I'm not 100% sure xx

When I had a chemical it was spotting for one night and then the bleeding instantly got super heavy the next day and felt like the most heavy painful period I'd had, so that's my experience if that helps give you any clarity on the situation. Keep checking and update us when you know hun 😊💕

Thanks for the support! I think my period has started today so I'm thinking it was a chemical. I'm not buying any more frers till I get lines on cheapies from now on as they are killing my bank balance!x
