3dpo too early for implantation?

Mrschips7 · 01/07/2020 20:58

I ovulated on/around 28th June, we DTD on 28th, 29th and 30th.

Today I have had light cramping and pressure in my ovaries. I just went to the toilet and I have pink cm and a streak of blood. My stomach is also soo bloated.

Surely this can't be implantation? But AF isn't due for another two whole weeks!

Anyone experienced this?

How did you confirm ovulation? I'd say that 3dpo is too early. Some women experience spotting at ovulation, could it be that?

Mrschips7 · 01/07/2020 21:12

It's really just a guess, my app suggested it and I had EWCM. Could have been earlier though. Maybe it is ovulation bleeding, never had that before.

Ah ok, I don't get EWCM so I'm unable to advise on how ovulation is timed around that. I've been using BBT and OPKs this month but AF got me today. Fingers crossed for you getting your BFP 🤞🏻

meb89 · 01/07/2020 21:51

It's normal to have EWCM for a few days leading to ovulation. It's sounds like what you described that you ovulated around the time you had pains and bloating.

2020mission · 01/07/2020 22:00

I was going on app estimations only on my last cycles until this month when I started using OPKs. It turns out the app is off by days on the estimations to reality, so I reckon you are likely ovulating a bit later and that's what the spotting was.

You're unlikely to implant earlier than 9 DPO. If it did happen that early, I think the chance of successful implantation is probably slim as the endometrium needs time to prepare its lining. Unless you ovulated late in your cycle?

Mrschips7 · 01/07/2020 22:08

Perhaps! Really not sure.

Bleeding has subsided I think but still crampy feelings. Be interesting to see how it progresses.

Meant to add, it's day 18. Is that late? Sorry new to this!

@Mrschips7 I often have spotting some months at ovulation so it definitely does happen. I'd try not to worry and assume you have ovulated a bit later than the app estimated.

For the average 28 day cycle they say normal ovulation is day 14, but it can definitely be earlier or later as everyone varies. I think it's only a worry if you're ovulating very early (in single figures) as the lining wouldn't have enough time to prepare for implantation and the egg may not have matured.

Mrschips7 · 01/07/2020 22:46

@2020mission thanks so much for your help, you seem very knowledgeable.

I guess it's a wait n see!

IIRC earliest implantation recorded was 6DPO and that is apparently exceptionally rare

LT103 · 02/07/2020 08:23

@Mrschips7 I don’t know what caused it but I’ve had exactly the same. Had peak opk in cd13, ovulate cd14 (has cramps and small ant pink spotting), cramps sort of continued but really bad 3 dpo and spotted a lot pinkish colour with small amount blood. Lasted all day that day then stopped. I’m now 6 dpo and still having occasional twinge but no idea what’s caused it all. Also having lots cm still. Will see how it goes when I test next week.

Mrschips7 · 02/07/2020 08:35

Oh interesting @lt103 ! Please keep me updated won't you?

Woke up today with sore boobs. No more spotting though.

@Mrschips7 this is our first month properly trying so I’d be surprised if anything happens but I’ll Let you know! I was convinced something was wrong so it’s reassuring to see lots of other people have similarly odd cycles haha

Mrschips7 · 02/07/2020 09:05

@lt103 think everything goes a bit crazy when TTC and when you start to look out for symptoms everything feels like one suddenly!

I conceived my son first month TTC, so it does happen!

OP posts:
Mrschips7 · 03/07/2020 14:27

@LT103 Hows it going?

I have no many symptoms. Not sure if just being crazy.

Sore boobs, light pressure and cramping, tugging behind bellybutton, feel warm all the time and slightly nauseous. Oh and I just cried at a really random bit in Mad men.

Hey girl! I'm the exact same as you! Was supposedly ovulating on the 29th, the past 3 days I've had brown and light pink spotting, back ache and cramps! Period due in like 11 days! So strange! You're not alone!

Mrschips07 · 03/07/2020 15:14

@Libbyvmama Ah yes, I'm not alone! I'm really not sure what to think, have you experienced pain/blood after ov before?

I've googled so much, seen a bunch of threads that people had similar and ended up BFP but then also a lot of times ended it AF. Trying not to get too hopeful as I know chances are low.

Libbyvmama · 03/07/2020 15:18

@Mrschips07 YES! I've been googling too! It's a never ending cycle of uncertainty isnt it😂
I haven't ever experienced this before, so very much unusual for me. With my first baby I had spotting, but a bit later on from what I recall... so this is very weird and confusing.
As for the back ache, it's like twinges of sharpish pains on the right side of the bottom of my back??
I hope our bodies aren't messing with us! Lol

Mrschips07 · 03/07/2020 15:30

@Libbyvmama

So the crazy in me made me check back to when my first DC was born. It looks as though I experienced 4 days of bleeding then too, and from what I can see on my app I marked it as abdominal pain and sore boobs, on off spotting and back ache!

Yes the back ache is low down and round the sides and quite mild but enough that I can't get comfy on the sofa!

Have you tested at all?

Libbyvmama · 03/07/2020 15:34

@Mrschips7 wow really! That's some positive news for us both then😂 everyone just keeps saying it's too early to be implantation bleeding but who knows! Guess we will find out soon!
And yes exactly the same! Like I'm fine but it was uncomfortable enough for me to take some paracetamol! Haha.
I haven't tested, really trying to wait until the day of my period being due (if I don't come on!) but it's hard to fight temptation, I know it would be too early for it to detect anything right now even if we was! But I'm impatient hahaha!

Mrschips07 · 03/07/2020 15:57

@Libbyvmama You are wise and restrained! I agree it's best to wait. I tested on a cheapy because I'm ridiculous but obviously bfn.

Keep me updated!!!

Libbyvmama · 03/07/2020 16:04

@Mrschips07 I could not resist at all and I did one😂 not with my morning wee, I got a tiny faint line.. It came up within the time window... might be a evap line idk... not getting my hopes up but weird! If post a picture but it doesn't let me

Good luck!!!

Mrschips07 · 03/07/2020 16:10

@Libbyvmama whaaaaa! That's so exciting! I wish I could see a pic, are you new? Think you have to wait 24h. What type of test did you use?

LT103 · 03/07/2020 16:23

@Mrschips7 I’m fine thanks. Spotting stopped after day 3 and cramps settled tho still really full feeling down there? Sl twinges in back, pain only around nipple on one side only 🤷🏻‍♀️ And still quite a lot of creamy cm. who knows. Like you I’ve googled and read I think every post written by someone who spotted day 3/4 but need to stop trying to get hopes up. I’m 7 dpo and holding off as long as I can to test but I know I’m going to cave come start of the week haha. When are you testing

LT103 · 03/07/2020 16:44

Does anyone else monitor bbt? This is my first month doing it so I can’t really compare to anything. But on the day I had the cramping and bleeding, I had a massive dip in temperature (checked it several times). I know it’s probably not accurate but anyone have any ideas what would cause this?
