Agnus Castus experiences please!

I'm on cycle 2 of TTC and from all my OPKs and symptoms it looks like I'm still not ovulating after coming off contraception.

I know I know I need to wait for my cycles to get back on track but would Agnus Castus help me along the way? From reading other threads online some people absolutely swear by it and others have had awful experiences.

I just need a kick start for my body to remember what the hell it is meant to do and I really don't want to go into a third cycle without any ovulation again 😞

Who's taken it? What were your experiences. Is it worth giving it a go? Did anyone manage to conceive using it?

@Suki2020 Trying to research now but not getting much luck. The myo inositol reviews are incredible though.

@zippityzip I take myo-inositol too! And coq10.. And vitamin d spray 😂 it's an expensive journey!

@Stabal Glad I'm not alone! Do you take the inositol every day??

@zippityzip yeah, it's powder that I have. I take 2 scoops a day. Each scoop is 500mg

@Stabal Is it ok to take both agnus castus and the inositol together?

@zippityzip I was told they're fine together, they're completely different. Myo-inositol helps to lower insulin which helps with androgens (which is why I take it, I have PCOS) whereas agnus castus helps with progesterone

I took AG to try and lengthen my luteal phase. I took it up until ov then stopped for the rest of the cycle. First month I ovulated 2 days later but LP was unaffected. Second month there was no difference at all. So all in all didn’t made much of a difference for me

@Nat4392 Oh so they weren't very effective for you. I don't think I'm ovulating at all, let alone know my luteal phase.
Have you had any luck TTC since?

Is it ok to take Agnus Castus at the same time as Pregnacare conception vitamins? I bought both but now I'm worried about too many things at once!

@Poppy10121 I can't find anything online either. Although surely pregnacare is simply vitamins.
I have heard some people say that pregnacare throw their cycles out of whack.

@zippityzip I hope not! I have quite a short cycle normally and I read that it can make it longer, so if anything I hope for that but mostly just wanted to make sure I have all the vitamins and folic acid etc.

@zippityzip - sorry to jump on this but out fo curiosity what sort of bad experiences had you heard? I'm really keen to ttc my second but I am still bf my first. Had my first AF last month but now on cycle day 43 😬 don't want to stop bf so was thinking I'd try Agnus C: have you gone for it?

@RMarieClaire So as you can see.... it worked!

I read that if you're quite regular then taking the supplements can mess up your cycle.

@zippityzip hope you don't mind me asking - did you stop taking AC after ovulation? I only took them for five days and then ovulated yesterday (or so I hope), I took AC this morning, but thinking perhaps I should stop now in case I get a BFP, or if I get AF start again when AF is finished? I'm not entirely sure what my luteal phase is like as charts aren't clear since coming off the pill 6 months ago. Thanks x

@MintGreenLife yeah you stop taking it when you ovulate and start again on CD1

@zippityzip did you have a period before starting AC? I want to start taking it to kick start my period as I’m 6 weeks off the pill and still no period and have no clue whether I am ovulating or not. How long was you taking AC before BFP?
