Morning everyone :)
Wondering if anyone has any success stories after getting a negative on a FRER at 11DPO. Feeling really disheartened at the moment and AF due Saturday.
I know I'm not out till AF arrives but just feel like it hasnt happened for us again this cycle :(

Hi lovely xx I haven't but I'm due the same time so thought I'd say hi! I've been ttc for 18 months now so I'm already sick of this time of the month. I wish she'd just show already and it'd be over. Its the hope that kills ya! Sometimes it's late and I feel that's the world just being cruel?! Saying that there are lots of people that don't get positives until a few days after their missed period xx

@vea1601 thank you so much for your reply and reassurance. Its tough isnt it. We havent been trying for all that long, but I still find it heartbreaking each time! I've read some old threads where people dont get positives until after AF is due, even with FRERs. But had in my head maybe they are more sensitive now and that I wont have a chance. Dont know if that makes any sense or if I'm just torturing myself!?!
Lovely that we're due on around the same time. Fingers crossed for us both! :)

Yep.Frers never seemed to turn for me. I've had better lines with normal tests.

Vea1601 · 24/06/2020 08:18

My sister didn't get a positive with her 2nd until 2 or 3 days after her period was due. But I don't think she used first response. She wasn't as obsessive as me haha. I'm trying to just not test until I'm late - mainly because I'm a nurse who sees lots of ladies with chemical pregnancies that they'd have never have known about if it wasn't for early testing...

mrsrichy · 24/06/2020 10:45

@chubbyhotchoc ah really. By normal tests do you mean clearblue?

@Vea1601 that's a really good point, saves a lot of heartache. Hard to do though!

Just cheapies or pink dye ones.

mrsrichy · 26/06/2020 09:17

@chubbyhotchoc thank you :) have got some cheapies off amazon as have been wasting so much money! Really trying now to not test until I'm late

@Vea1601 how are you getting on? Really hoping AF doesnt show tomorrow for us!!

I've stopped testing past 12 DPO to be honest unless AF is late (not that it's ever been!). You could have a slow build up of HCG which is the thing to hope for - as the reason I stopped testing was realising that if you have implantation on 11/12 DPO the odds of early miscarriage or chemical is 82%. So probably best not to get your heart broken by a late BFP until AF is late at least?

Morning @mrsrichy not so good today! I was a bit teary last night at another fb pregnancy announcement... Of someone I know wasn't trying! I've had sore boobs all week and some stomach aches last night. And I just feel she's on her way. My sore boobs have eased off now and I read if you're not pregnant they do go away after 10dpo because of a drop in progesterone. So I think I'm defo out. There's that little bit of hope isn't there and that's what kills you! 18 months.... It's a long time not speaking to anyone about this! Do your family know? I'm thinking of telling my mum but I don't know...

mrsrichy · 26/06/2020 11:06

@Juno231 you're so right. We just torture ourselves don't we. I know it's easier said than done, but I'm really trying to wait it out now until missed period

@Vea1601 aw I know exactly what you mean. It feels like everyone is pregnant at the moment. Try and stay as positive as you can though. We've not been trying for too long just yet, but I have told a few family members. They are probably assuming we're going with the "see what happens approach" rather than the "obsessing over every symptom approach" though!!
