So i'm going mad....can't concentrate, can't function...just want to test. But I have given all of my tests to my hubby so that I won't test before then....

Anyone in a similar place?

Hi Nellin! Also going insane here. I'm not 100% sure if on my due date. From Friday to Sunday . Im swapping over apps - my old app (Clue) with all my past cycles says Sunday. But my new app that knows when I ovulated says Friday. So I'm not too sure! I'm approx 8dpo. I used the clear blue digital ovulation test this month. Ttc for 18 months. Feeling particularly down these days. Dtd every day for a week and then on the day of my ld surge we did it twice. Unfortunately we weren't able to the day after so wondered if I missed actual ovulation day. How long have you been ttc? I've wasted so many pregnancy tests and so much money so no longer testing until definitely late these days. However cycle has varied between 26 and 33 days so difficult to know if truly late...

Nellin · 23/06/2020 17:24

Hi Vea,

I've been TTC 3 years now...we have given up natural TTC and went for IVF. So this is my IVF try. We ended up with just one blastocyst and hence I am so stressed and scared it won't work.

Doctors asked me to test on 27th and hence the specific date.

Do you have any symptoms? I have a bit of everything (but I am 100% sure it the the progesterone I am injecting myself). The only odd one is nausea...which I suppose and hope if due to hcg.

Hi everyone! I will join you. I am due to test sometime this week...not entirely sure of the dates, as we had a very early loss at 5 weeks...but think 25/26/27th.

The wait is agony isn’t it!! Lol @Nellin I like how you’ve hidden your tests from yourself 🤣 good idea! Oh very best of luck, this is a very special chance for you. Everything crossed for you! 🤞

@Vea1601 it’s tough going isn’t it! But you may be ok...you still have a really good chance if you did it 3 days before ovulation. Better if the sperm is waiting for the egg than vice versa.

I’m about 21 days since I had first bleeding. I’ve had sore boobs for a week. Cramping this evening. A little scared it could be a repeat of the loss, could be AF...or could be implantation. Eeek!!

Do you know how soon you can test after implantation? I normally count backwards from my period due date but don’t have the luxury of that this month.

Vea1601 · 23/06/2020 19:48

I can see why you feel like that. It's difficult to cope with these things behind closed doors without support of people too. I find it's best to wait until after af so you don't get your hopes up with a chemical etc. It's bloody hard though.

I have sore boobs but I do get that before af anyway most months. So not particularly special. I do have hideously sensitive teeth. Never had that before. Today it just happened. If you Google sensitive teeth and early pregnancy signs... I'm down a Google rabbit hole and found a match! Haha

Nellin · 23/06/2020 19:58

oh the Google rabbit hole! I have been lost in it for the past week... (not mentioning the past 3 years lolz)

@Vea - I have usually most of the symptoms before my period too so I get it...quite difficult to know. I agree with Bouncytree, better having it there waiting for the egg!

@Bouncytree - fingers crossed this time will be luckier! I can't even imagine how painful it must have been for you.

Thanks @Vea1601, good point about the early testing, that is wise. I never used to test until AF, as I think I have symptoms and am pregnant, every month 🤣. The only sign I can trust is the missed AF. I don’t know my dates this month so hard to even know when due.

These cramps are definitely out of the ordinary for me. They have just been on and off, subsided this morning and no sign of AF, so could very well be implantation. Feel like i can’t trust my symptoms after the loss, the regular signals have been a bit mixed up.

Thanks @Nellin. I’m pretty ok about it now. The experience was distressing at the time, but it was barely more than a CP and never a viable pregnancy, so I am fine about it now and thankful it was early.

How are you both doing today?

I may be able to test tomorrow ,but for once
Not feeling like running out and grabbing a test. I’m a bit more nervous than normal and kinda afraid it will be a faint line and confuse me, it’s been a confusing month!

Nellin · 24/06/2020 21:44

I'm confused...today I had nausea during early afternoon but now I am good...not sure what symptoms are relevant anymore....

yesterday I had a weird one...had pain on my tailbone...never had that before lol - read that a hormone called relaxine along with oestrogen are causing such pains. (again I am on oestrogen too so probably just meds messing with me)

Hubby and I agreed to test in the evening of Friday instead of Sat morning so that made me happy as it means one less night to wait and in total 2 days to go!

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 26/06/2020 11:01

Hmm yes never heard of the tailbone one @Nellin, but I did get a dicky hip due to relaxin. It’s crazy isn’t it.

Are you testing this eve? Ekkkk fingers and toes crossed for you.

BFN for me this morning. I’m not entirely sure of my dates, but think I am 10 DPO and theoretically due DF on 3rd June. Will test again but looks like I’m out! Very strong symptoms this month, so confused!

Kinda looking forward to having AF back in my life, she is reliable at least!

anyone testing on the 27th of June?
Nellin · 26/06/2020 20:03

Hi ladies, sad news from me today. I tested this afternoon and it was a BFN :(

I am heartbroken.

@Bouncytree so sorry yours is a BFN too hun. Are you re testing in a few days?

In my case I will test tomorrow morning with the morning urine just to make sure...but really not expecting a different result.

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 26/06/2020 20:12

Oh no @nellin! How many days since the IVF? Is there a chance the hcg is still low?

Bouncytree · 26/06/2020 20:16

Thinking of you @Nellin I know this is a big shot for you.

Yes I think I will retest in a few days. I normally wait till after AF so not used to testing early. Read some info about early tests only being 50% effective so I like those odds! Someone on a thread told me she tested post live after being 6 days after AF due. So we will see. Has taken the wind out of my sails a bit though

Bouncytree · 28/06/2020 21:46

Hi @Nellin are you doing ok? It must have been a tough blow for you. Did you test again and the same?

How are you doing @Vea1601?

Vea1601 · 28/06/2020 21:50

@bouncytree AF arrived on Saturday as predicted. I dealt with it quite well. We have a plan for the month ahead. Kinda SMEP with ovulation testing. Also bought preseed which looks vile ha I hope you get answers soon. It's rubbish with the hope..

Bouncytree · 28/06/2020 22:00

Another month, another shot at it and another sexathon! Great you are doing well @vea. Just looked up preseed there, interesting. Havnt used...but notice it’s sold out on boots here (in ireland) lol! So are bumper packs of OPK tests. Everyone is at it 🤣

Vea1601 · 29/06/2020 08:27

@Bouncytree loll that made me laugh. We genuinely discussed stopping trying due to covid. Especially as a nurse I was redeployed to a covid area so really wasn't sure what to do. However I'm back in my own job now. We never really stopped trying. Decided 9 months is a long time and we'd been trying so long we couldnt see it happening for us anyway.

Bouncytree · 29/06/2020 09:12

Lol @vea1601 there is going to be some baby boom 🤣. Yes that must have been quite a concern for you. Amazing contribution working on the covid ward, we all have a lot to thank you for.

We were the same. I have been putting off trying again, and had just come around to the idea and had a great sense of urgency as I am 41. The week we were going to try lockdown happened, and it all seemed very scary and unknown at that point. We can’t afford the time to put it off, so we decided just to go for it the following month and deal with whatever comes our way. I think too psychologically it gives u something to focus on and look forward to in these funny times when normal life is on pause.

Nellin · 29/06/2020 16:56

Hi both, yes I retested on Saturday but it was still the same result. I have now stopped my injections and waiting for my AF to arrive...Sad, heartbroken...not sure I have grieved yet though...not sure how it is going to explode!

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 29/06/2020 19:24

@Nellin, I’m so sorry. I can only imagine how heartbreaking this is. But we don’t always react the way we think we will or the way we think we should. Grief is a strange thing. And I think this as you say about grieving for your dream and the life you wanted. It will take time I’m sure. Is that is for you?

Vea1601 · 30/06/2020 16:24

Slightly heartbroken today. Trying not to be. Best friend text me shes pregnant with a photo of a pregnancy test after 1 attempt of getting pregnant... Didn't even ring. Despite knowing how difficult this would be for me.

Bouncytree · 30/06/2020 17:12

Oh @vea1601 that’s so heartbreaking. It is hard when it seems to come so easy to others. I guess she had to tell you somehow. It’s so painful when you want it so much and it’s just not happening. I feel your pain, I really do. A lot of my mums group are announcing pregnancies right now, and I feel awful that it hurts a little inside when I hear it. Hope you are doing ok.

Bouncytree · 30/06/2020 17:14

I got a BFN this morning. AF due tomorrow, I think though can’t be sure. I still have horrendously sore boobs so I have no idea what’s going on. My hormones are all over the place to, angry, anxious and tearful. Maybe I’m just all messed up after the loss. Very confused!
