Hi I am new to mumsnet, I am 38 and have a 13 year old Daughter. My Fiance is 40 in September and has 3 teenagers, 18 yrs, 16 yrs and 14 yrs. We have been together 2 1/2 years. We got pregnant 2 years ago, but miscarried. We have decided to TTC before time runs out for us. We know it's not impossible to conceive at our age, but it's much harder.
I have been using one step ovulation tests, I always get 2 lines, but never a line that is as dark as the control line. It makes me wonder if I even ovulate. Any advice?

Electric fence 🤣🤣🤣 it is a bit like that isn’t it ⚡️ @calimommy i know it can wear you down. And I think with the MC, the wait and the testing becomes harder. I certainly feel more nervous this month.

You could always have a break for a month if you are feeling a bit over it, it might help. Though I know it’s hard, to think you are adding more time. I am 41 and now that we are trying I feel that every month that goes by is another one older. I’m still in the game for this month, strongly nauseas yesterday and really acidic tummy today, and boobs still very sore. Very tempted to test, but trying to hold off!

37 is really not that old for getting pregnant. Don’t let that put you off, you have plenty of time. I had my first at 38 and was a really smooth pregnancy.

Hope your doing ok. It’s a tough ride
