Can you ovulate without a lot of EWCM?

Hello all!

This is my 1st official month off my contraceptive pill and I have been trying to track my cycle to find out which days me and DH have the best chance of conceiving!

My app has been quite accurate on predicting I’ll ovulate soon as I’ve had flashing smiley faces on the clear blue ovulation tests for the past 3 days, however I haven’t had a huge amount of discharge/EWCM. I have had some discharge the past few days but not a lot.

This is making me worry that there is cervical mucus problems but I’m also wondering if I’m getting worked up when I haven’t been off my pill for a whole month yet and for the next 3 months my cycles and body could be a bit out of sorts

Or is it just completely normal to ovulate without a lot of discharge/EWCM? Anytime I read about it I always imagined I’d have a lot of EWCM

Yes lots of people don't see EWCM and it also depends how hydrated you are? Also I only tend to see if I'm really looking for it after going for the loo

@ivfgottostaypositive thank you I assumed I’d see it in my underwear but after inspecting there seems to be some there! Which is a good sign as I’m not supposed to ovulate for another 2-3 days

This is my third cycle off the pill (just finished AF) and cycle 1 I had two days of EWCM, and cycle 2 three days, however I have been tracking my cycles and they have been all over the place. Not sure if you're aware, but the pill dries up your CM, so it may take a little time for it to come back. I'm hoping this cycle will look better for me and that I might be back on track a bit better, but generally advice is it can take 3-6 months for your cycles to settle down after coming off the pill x

@MintGreenLife this is quite helpful to know, thank you Smile I did think I could be being slightly harsh on myself as my body is probably still adjusting to not being on the pill

I'm really hoping this cycle looks better for me. It's hard not to get frustrated, but it can take some time so don't worry too much :) easier said than done I know! x
