I took two tests today one in the morning which was very faint and then one in the afternoon that is very dark. Can anyone explain why this is? First time trying and I'm not sure whether to be excited.

Thank you!!

@Justkeepswimming91 I bet he was over the moon?!

I’ve told a few work friends as I actually tested at work as I couldn’t wait until I got home! 😂 my partner knows to. However, I have a doctors appointment today, so until they confirm then I will definitely feel pregnant. I’m still in disbelief, how do you feel? When do you plan on taking Clearblue test today?

Justkeepswimming91 · 17/06/2020 11:12

@LucyGrace19961
He is delighted, more excited than me I think!

Still waiting for it to be delivered so if I can wait long enough tomorrow morning but more likely to be as soon as it's delivered lol. I havent booked a doctors appointment yet-maybe I should?

@Justkeepswimming91 that’s so weird! Just thinking about you and how you’ve got on!!!! AMAZING!! CONGRATS 🥳 did it show how many weeks 1-2?

LucyGrace19961 · 17/06/2020 19:43

@Justkeepswimming91 so I went to the doctors appointment today. Did no tests as she believed all the tests that I had done! Got some forms to hand in, and then she will be booking me in for 8 week scan! Hope all goes well for you!

Justkeepswimming91 · 17/06/2020 20:06

@LucyGrace199961

I have a weeks one to do another day. I think I have a peeing on a stick addiction lol. Have you had any symptoms yet?

Justkeepswimming91 · 17/06/2020 20:07

@LucyGrace199961 mmmm I had a similar experience speaking to the booking in midwife today. Feels very surreal atm.

@Justkeepswimming91 how did you feel when you seen positive on clear blue? I bet that was so reassuring!
Tell me about it.. I’ve done at-least 6 tests, all positive but I just want to keep reassuring myself.
The only symptom I had was Sunday just gone, sharpe pain lasting around 10-15 seconds. Sunday was 9dpo which is the most common day for implantation so assume that was it! Next day faint positive like yours.. and then 3 clear blues confirming pregnancy. But no other symptoms!! What about yourself?

Justkeepswimming91 · 17/06/2020 20:53

@LucyGrace19961 was great to see it in words!
I will in all honesty (not telling DH) but will probably keep reassurance testing. Although the midwife today did tell me hcg can fall a bit when you're a bit further along so not to panic if the test gets fainter.

I have been really thirsty, had indigestion and been a bit crampy which I think are all early signs.

LucyGrace19961 · 17/06/2020 21:14

@Justkeepswimming91 I bet! It’s not the same as a faint positive. Words are better! When do you plan on telling him?
Ah that’s interesting! Any idea when it starts falling? Just incase I do another 6 tests 😂
Have you had the typical symptoms - sore breasts or spotting/implanting etc?

Justkeepswimming91 · 17/06/2020 21:18

@LucyGrace19961 he knows I'm pregnant but he doesn't know how many tests I've taken or how many more I may take...

She said around six - eight weeks.

No spotting or anything but I occasionally get a slight stabbing like pain in the boobs. I kind of like the symptoms though, they re reassuring she says after just a few days lol).

@LucyGrace19961 will this be your first?

OP posts:
LucyGrace19961 · 18/06/2020 08:44

@Justkeepswimming91 👍🏻

I think we’ve had it quite lucky so far regarding symptoms. (I speak to soon) I haven’t had any of the dreadful ones that people get quite early on.

Yes! Will be my first, what about yourself?

Justkeepswimming91 · 18/06/2020 08:48

@LucyGrace19961 yeh definitely!

Yeh first for us too. Have you been trying long?

OP posts:
LucyGrace19961 · 18/06/2020 09:02

@Justkeepswimming91 took my implant out last November.. but have tried “properly” about 2-3 months in total. What about you?

Have you been feeling very tired? I’m waiting for that to kick in!

Justkeepswimming91 · 18/06/2020 09:29

@LucyGrace19961 I stopped taking microgynon in April and started trying in May so 2 months for us.

Not really yet. I keep wondering and asking myself if I'm tired or sick but I dont think I am.

(Took another test this morning though...)

LucyGrace19961 · 18/06/2020 09:54

@Justkeepswimming91 not long really then! I think I was expecting to conceive a bit later on this year! But surprise surprise!

Oh nooooooo! That’s what I keep wanting to do! 😂 I’ve done 6 in total within 2 days! I’m due AF tomorrow, I think it will really sink in when I miss it!

LucyGrace19961 · 18/06/2020 09:55

@Justkeepswimming91 I hope the test was positive again?! Clear blue?

LucyGrace19961 · 18/06/2020 09:55

@Justkeepswimming91 (perhaps that was a silly question! I bet it was)

Justkeepswimming91 · 18/06/2020 10:27

@LucyGrace19961 yeh it was positive and a CB early response one.

I am due AF on Sunday I think but my cycles hadnt regularised since being off the pill so I'm not 100% sure. I got my first faint test in truth on Monday but I wasnt sure whether it was just my eyes.

Have you had any morning sickness or anything. I think we're going to try and book an early scan when I am about 7 weeks to check everything. 12 weeks just seems forever!

OP posts:
FourPlasticRings · 18/06/2020 20:07

Go for 8 weeks, OP. Especially if you're unsure of dates. The amount of women on here who post that they had an early scan at 6/7 weeks but it was showing 5 weeks so they have to wait a week or two and be re-scanned while worrying in the interim that they've had a miscarriage...
