Hi ladies - I'm in a real pickle, after devastating news that my pregnancy was of unknown location (PUL) I have been back and forth for blood and scans. My levels have gone from 403 to 648 to 903 to 1614 and final one at 1931 i've had two scans both show no sac in the uterus and no signs of mass in the tubes they did find some free fluid on my lower right cavity and a cyst on both the left and right ovary. My endometrial layer has not thickened and is still at 7mm. I have very minor cramping pain that I don't need to take painkillers for and I don't have bleeding currently just a bit of spotting when I wipe. at this point they have pulled me in to explain they are offering me methotrexate medication or booking a final scan Sunday but the decision on which route is ultimately mine to make. Trouble is that they can't guarantee that it's 100% ectopic / not viable so I guess there is still a chance all be it very very very slim that this is a normal pregnancy that's slow growing and particularly early (as my dates don't add up) - Im completely devastated and to top it all off I have to make the decision to encourage a miscarriage now before I have a guarantee it's not viable or risk a rupture this week by waiting for the next scan 💔I'm putting this out here in the hope that some of you may have experienced something like this or may be kind enough to share your opinions with me? Hi OP how far along are you?

I had an early scan when I got pregnant recently due to a previous ectopic. Like you, my HCG levels were increasing but not doubling every 48 hours, and I had 2 scans where nothing was visible at all (PUL as well). The doctors were convinced if was ectopic. But when I went back again a few days later, it turned out to be a uterine pregnancy. The pregnancy was just earlier than everyone had thought, so nothing was visible as yet.

Based on what happened to me, I would definitely suggest doing the next scan on Sunday just to be sure. The waiting and not knowing is absolutely horrible though, and I hope you have support Flowers. I wish you well, whatever happens on Sunday.

@northstars - thank you so much, this is exactly what I was thinking. I know they have to warn me of the dangers and to be alert of any pains in case of rupture but my dates are a real mess- I actually had a period on 25th May it was the same length and flow as I'm used to, they have suggested it's possible that I ovulated immediately after and I'm just very very early, this is why I'm hesitant on accepting the injection just yet although I do know it's unlikely ... xxx

Hello Op how are you doing??

Luan82 · 30/06/2020 18:17

@northstars - thanks so much for checking, my levels continued to climb by only by 300 every two days so I had the injection two weeks ago they are now starting to drop got another test on Thursday to ensure that they are going in the right direction. I'm now concentrating on getting healthy and referring myself to a clinic to request a tube flushing procedure - can't do much else for three months so am going to make the most of the time to heal 😔 xxx
