hello! I have my 21 day blood test booked in and will be booking my 3 day when af arrives, could someone give me a bit more info on what these tests look for? The doctor did explain but I have a memory like a sieve!
Thank you

Hi,

I haven't had the initial ones but the day 21 tests are looking to see if you ovulate. They need to be done 7 days after you ovulate so although they are called day 21 they won't be on the 21st day of cycle for everyone as it depends on your cycle length.

So even though you get positive opks it doesn't mean you actually ovulate, just that you get the surge. The blood test will let you know if you do and they are looking for the level to be over a certain amount (sorry I can't remember the level now)
