Should I have a positive by 10dpo?

We've been ttc for around 10 months now and I've tried everything this month to get pregnant. I've just done an frer at 10dpo and not even a hint of a line. I pretty much broke down in tears over it and just starting to feel like it will never be possible for us. Maybe I'm just overly emotional this month but it's hit me hard today. Do you think I should definitely have a positive by now? xx

Hi, no definitely not. Lots of people don't get a positive until a bit later or even until AF is actually late. X

I got my first BFP at 13dpo.
It was negative on day 11 and 12.
Sadly that pregnancy ended at 6 weeks, but don't lose hope yet. It is still early to test. I know people that didn't get their BFP until 15-16dpo. It all depends on when you ovulated
X

Thank you both of you
@BMWL did you get your first BFP with frer? As I feel like it must be able to pick up even the faintest line at this point. I got my static smiley with fmu on 27th so I could be 11dpo at the latest x

Should I test again tomorrow morning? As I have another frer. Or should I wait until af is due? x

@CheeseSammich I never used a frer, it was always the boots own brand tests, and they actually picked it up before the clear blue tests.
I would hold off and wait testing until AF is due. Pregnancy tests are a huge expense when you go through so many and it saves the heartache of seeing so many negatives when you test too early x

@CheeseSammich how did you get on? I did my first test today at 11dpo and think I can see a tiny squinter of a line!

Should I have a positive by 10dpo?

@BMWL congratulations! That definitely looks positive to me 😊 I got my period about 5 days ago so wasn't the month for us unfortunately. xx
