Brown bleeding at 4/5 dpo. What is going on?!

Hi all!

I’m hoping someone can help! My partner and I have decided to start TTC without trying. Last month we used withdrawal and this month zero attempt at contraception. My last AF was 17 May - all the classic signs and symptoms but a bit shorter than usual. Anyway! I have regular 29-day cycles and am on CD19 today. Flo predicted ovulation on Sunday just gone (I don’t use OPKs etc, so know this could be very off). This morning I woke up to brown discharge in my knickers and there has been the tiniest bit when I wipe. Normally, I have this for 3/4 days before AF, but never this early! We haven’t DTD since the weekend, so don’t think it’s the result of any irritation etc.

Any ideas?? 🤞🏼

It could be implantation bleed, or even ovulation bleed. To be honest, when we started trying, my body gave so many signs and symptoms (or I became so on the edge for the tiniest sign) that the only confirmation I relied on was a pregnancy test and the fact that I did not get my next period.

I'm in this same position - couple of days of brown tinged discharge about 6 DPO. Now stopped again. Guess I test when the 2WW is over?

Thanks @Anurulz! This baby making business is confusing. Because it’s so early, I hadn’t even thought about symptom spotting, but maybe it’s been subconscious!

Ah sorry to hear you’re in the same boat @TheDaydreamBelievers (or not sorry if it’s a good sign!! 🤞🏼). Have you been tracking ovulation or also just going with the flow? Mine seems so early for IB, but I’ve also never had ovulation bleeding before. Seems to have stopped for the rest of the day (I’m 8 hours behind the UK)
