9DPO - are my eyes decieving me...

Hi ladies!

Do you see a line? I’m 9DPO and swear I can see the faintest line. Ever so tired and headachey today and had heartburn yesterday for the first time in years. Perhaps I’m just symptom spotting but after doing a test I’m even more confused!

Thanks girls x

Looks positive to me! Congratulations

MrsBrown91 · 27/05/2020 14:14

I see! Congrats

colajay · 27/05/2020 15:25

Thank you both. I am in a state of disbelief and only have one more test left, so wondering whether i should do another or wait until tomorrow! How likely is this that this could be a false positive I wonder!

Is that a Sainsbury’s test? I’ve never bought those but I’ve heard they’re terrible for evaps.

colajay · 28/05/2020 04:33

Hey guys

I've now done 3 FRER over the last two days and the line is progressively darker each time but still sooooo faint that I don't even know if you'll be able to see it in this picture. If you can... I shall tell my husband as I haven't yet (didn't want him to be disappointed). The second line came up straight away but it really is faint and this was my first wee of the day... I'm struggling to believe this could be true! Haha

I can see a shadow of something. I’d wait a couple of days and try again.

bluemints · 28/05/2020 06:27

@colajay

Definitely positive lovely, congratulations! Those tests are how mine looked when I was 9dpo with my first x

@colajay

Yep you're definitely pregnant! 🤗
Congratulations!

colajay · 28/05/2020 06:45

Thank you so much @bluemints i have what feels a bit like period pain this morning so my brain is struggling to believe it's true haha. Woke hubby up and he is happy but very calm about it all and he has confirmed he can see the line, when I suggested getting a digital test he was like why bother it's definitely positive 🤣

This is month one TTC and I don't know what to do now - any advice welcome, I guess call the docs, throw away the wine and tell our parents! Xx

A digital test is less sensitive so may not register for a few days yet if you decide to get one. Congrats though!x

bluemints · 28/05/2020 07:07

@colajay

Haha bless you! Yeah with DS I had period pain the day I found out I was pregnant, and also for a week or so after! It's your body starting to stretch and accommodate :)

Well the process is different in different areas, where I am we have to go online and print off a form and then send that off to a local midwife who starts the referral process, the drs dont see us at all which I had no idea about! I always thought they do a test then refer you but they just believed I was pregnant 😂 but try calling dr and ask what your next move is :)

So happy for you!

MrsBrown91 · 28/05/2020 07:49

That’s definitely positive congratulations!

I just found out I was pregnant this time last week so haven’t called anyone yet, although I have to fill in a form online and midwife will call me to discuss and arrange appointment.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 28/05/2020 08:50

Your first appointment with a midwife will be around 7-9 weeks for booking in. After getting my BFP in January, I waited until my period didn’t show up (I had a chemical the January before and ringing to cancel the appointment was awful) and I was about 5 weeks before calling and making the appointment.

Right now, get yourself some pregnancy vitamins. Pregnacare has everything that you need in it.

colajay · 28/05/2020 08:52

Final photo girls, I just nipped out and got a load more tests. The FR is from first thing this morning the other two are after a couple of cups of tea glass of water and my urine was basically clear so wasn’t the best time to test but I can see a line in all 3 tests. The digital came back Negative however.

Try not to test too early with too dilute urine. You’ll just stress yourself out.

HCG doubles roughly every 48 hours so test against in a couple of days with FMU again and you should see those lines get much darker. Wait until AF is due and then take the digital because your HCG should definitely be high enough by then.

Congratulations.

colajay · 28/05/2020 10:37

Thanks @beingatwatitsabingthing - thats useful advice. I am just so desperate to tell my mum :o)

Congrats! I can see them!
But personally I avoid clear blue until well after AF is due. I stick to the pink dyes
