Strong BFP?

I've tracked my cycle so I know my dates aren't off - and I took a pregnancy test the day before this too and got a bfn. So not pregnant from last month.

I felt a bit faint so took a pregnancy test 10 days before my period was due and got quite a strong BFP.

Does anyone know what this means? I know it sounds stupid, but could there be a sinister reason why there's so much HGC being picked up? Like an ectopic.

I had this once before and it was twins (that I sadly MC'd). But even then all I got was a faint bfp 8 days before my period was due.

My period is still five days away so I'm not even four weeks yet. Wished I hadn't tested tbh!

Strong BFP?

Sorry, didn't answer your question: I've not told doctor about symptoms loss as I'm booked in for a scan Tuesday and was very lucky to get that slot even. With covid there's limited services running. I'm actually surprised they are seeing me at all without bleeding.

They really do, I'm the typo queen. I will say that my symptoms came and went pretty much until my second trimester when I was pregnant. But I'm crossing my fingers for you!

OP I was tracking religiously with my DS and thought I knew my OV to the day.

When I went for an early scan there was no baby to be seen. 2 weeks later there he was.

They put me back 2 weeks. Meaning I got BFP the day I conceived according to them Confused

Everything tallied up to their dates at measuring scans and due date too

It was the weirdest thing but he's a super healthy 13 year old now!

How did you scan go OP?

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 10/06/2020 15:01

Just to update: There was a heartbeat and I'm measuring about 6.5 weeks.

So… the reason why I got such a strong BFP is a mystery still. The only thing I can think of is the consultant could see a corpus luteum on both ovaries. So maybe there was another one in there (slightly further along, even) at some point.

More than happy with one though.

Thank you all for your support and kindness. I couldn't have got through the last few weeks without you.

I'm actually massively in shock as I'd gone to the scan to ask questions about miscarriage management and karyotyping. Not to be told that I have a viable pregnancy happening!
