Hi all,

I had a miscarriage in March at just under 11 weeks and waited a full cycle to get a negative test and to start TTC again. I was feeling queasy today so I've just done a test and it's very very faintly positive.

I'm really confused because I don't understand how it's positive already. I'm only on day 19 of my cycle, and the first time we had sex was on day 9, so how is it showing up positive already??

I'm not even due my period for another 10 (ish) days and it's only been 10 days since the first time we had sex this cycle...

Has this happened to anyone else? Does it mean that there's something wrong do you think?

Thanks so much in advance.

I’m really not sure on the timings, but I’m thinking that assuming you conceived on the first time you had sex and that you were ovulating at the time, then you could have implanted 6 days later at the earliest really, meaning that now, 10 days later you are able to get a positive test.
People have been known to get positives from 8dpo if they implanted at 6dpo so fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear of your loss x

I’m so sorry about your miscarriage. I had my cp previous cycle and was told that I would be more fertile the following cycle and that a random egg might get released so we started to dtd every few days until my usual expected o date. I know i didn’t get a random egg but I do think I’m more fertile as I’m now pregnant again. This time it picked up at 9dpo. So it’s very much possible that you are pregnant again, just test again in a few day.

Did you have hcg blood tests done following your mc to track your hcg levels down to 0?
I only ask because I suffered a mc in January at 8/9 weeks and after 3 weeks had negative tests, but then a couple weeks later I had faint positives. I then had hcg bloods drawn which confirmed my hcg was in fact still dropping from my mc.

I’m sure yours isn’t leftover hcg though.
Hopefully you’ll see the line get progressively darker over the next few days!!
