10 dpo with super dark opk

I am 9/10 dpo and for the past couple days I've had super positive ovulation tests where the test line is a lot darker then the control, even though I had a positive opk earlier on in the month. I've also been having pregnancy symptoms for the past 5 days or so like super sore boobs and nipples, slight dull cramps, occasional nausea, and a few more. So I don't know what to think about the positive opks after I already ovulated?

Could be pregnant? You should do. Test as opks can pick up pregnancy hormone as well as LH.

Bleepers · 13/05/2020 08:48

This happened to me and I was pregnant. Take a proper test!

Rhubarbe · 13/05/2020 08:52

Are you sure you ovulated already? Lots of people with messed up cycles at the moment.

babydust2412 · 13/05/2020 11:57

@Rhubarbe I am sure I ovulated cycle day 15 as I had a positive opk then, also these opks are such strong positives and have stayed that way for 3 days now. 😃 x

@MissBPotter @Bleepers Thankyou, that's very reassuring, I've done one and it was bfn for now but I'm only like 9 dpo at the moment so I expected that anyways I just caved and tested too early 😂 xx

You can get more than one LH surge in a cycle - almost as though your body ‘gears up’ to ovulate then doesn’t quite.
Same thing happened to me this cycle - convinced I’d ovulated but then got dark OPKs again and a bit of EWCM later in my cycle. AF arrived 15 days after that second batch of dark OPKs.
Do you temp? I haven’t bothered recently but may start again as that’s the only way (apart from bloods) to know

Rhubarbe · 13/05/2020 12:12

Also I don’t mean to be a Debbie downer but if you were pregnant enough for OPKs to pick up HCG then you should get a BFP.
I’d be DTD in case!

babydust2412 · 13/05/2020 12:40

@Rhubarbe Thankyou, we have DTD last night just in case, so hopefully if it is ovulation this time instead we've caught it and can still get a bfp soon 😃

I was in a similar situation - around 20 DPO I had the strongest OPK I have ever had. I hadn't had a positive OPK that cycle but presumed that I had ovulated as normal around day 14/15. We DTD that night and the next few nights and ovulation tests remained positive the next day before fading. 10 days later I got a BFP. My cycles were all bizarre due to a CP in feb so I presume I just ovulated super late (for my cycle!) and thankfully seems to have worked.

@greeny506 ahh that's great! I hope I'm the same then, I had a chemical pregnancy my last cycle so that could be the case here I ok then. Thankyou! 😃
