BFP but brown spotting please not another chemical

This morning I took a frer and got a fairly strong positive, it’s not a squinter that’s for sure. I’m around 12dpo I believe. But literally an hour after taking the test I’ve starting brown spotting, tiny bit of red.

I had a MC last year followed by 2 chemicals. Had a month off the following month which leads us to this month. Both chemicals started exactly like this spotting for a day then AF comes.

These things can go either way. I've had 4 chemicals and a mmc and a live birth. I'm now 10 weeks. I had brown and red spotting with all. Hopefully yours is just implantation

Thank you both I appreciate the replies. I have a DD who is 3 and I did experience this with her but after a MC and chemicals I seem to forget that I’ve also had this and had a good outcome

I had brown and red spotting. He’s 3 and a half now, and is currently eating an ice lolly in the garden!

Hi - sorry to jump on the post. I also had brown and red spotting last week but after the spotting had finished, I got stronger pregnancy tests.

When people say it can go one way or the other - what sort of time frame was it before you did have your MC?
I've not had any spotting now for 4 days and I'm just terrified. Want everything to be ok 😩

Thanks @FenellaMaxwell I had the same with my DD and everything ended up being okay

@Nannon145 sorry your worried it’s horrible isn’t it. With my MC the spotting turned into bleeding within a week or 2 but it didn’t stop at any point. And with the chemicals I started my period within a day or 2 of the spotting.

With my DD who is 3 I had spotting from 5 weeks up until 15 weeks and everything was fine.

I clearly can’t use my own advice to stop worrying! How many weeks are you?

@Upsydaisyy I'm 5+3 now. Had nothing the past few days and just been to the toilet and had a streak of red blood in my cf and nothing since, that was about an hour ago. But just seeing that streak of blood made me have a complete breakdown and sob into my partner's arms. It's just so horrible to see. This waiting game is absolutely horrific 💔 x

Hi all, appreciate this is an old post but just wanted to ask the OP what the outcome was? I’m 10dpo with the faintest bfp on a FRER but also brown spotting. I’m guessing it’s a chemical. I feel horrendous (so nauseous!). X
