Stopped my pill halfway through the pack

Hi everyone!

This is my first post on mumsnet and I am after some advice. Just under a month ago I stopped taking my contraceptive pill in a means to start trying for a baby. After I stopped I had a bit of spotting but not a proper period, I should be due on in about 8 days.

I am wondering if because I stopped taking my pill halfway through if these timings will be off? I dont want to get myself excited that I've missed a period due to the fact that I may have messed up my cycle a bit. I have bought a pregnancy test to be sure but won't be here until a few days. Did anyone else to the same?

Thank you for taking the time xx

It may throw your timings off. The advice is to complete the pack before stopping, this explains why, but good luck 🤞

I also stopped the pill midpack and had the withdrawal bleed almost immediately after but ovulated exactly 15 days after the day i stopped the pill (confirmed by opk) and not the first day of bleeding. I did also get pregnant that time so never got a period really after stopping the pill.
It’s not the best idea because the dating of pregnancy was harder.

Oh my god that is amazing i stopped my pill two weeks ago and ovulated today so praying!! Did you miss your period where your normal cycle would fall xx @

Yes but it was more that i knew when i ovulated so i tested two weeks later and got a bfp.

(But it ended in a mc later on- that was last year- but this is unfortunately out of our control)
