How long after a mc were you pregnant again?

Ttc for nearly a year before I got pregnant which ended in a mc at 8 weeks.

Been ttc for 8 months since my mc and still not pregnant.

Been really upset and worrying about it the last week thinking something must be wrong. Usually I'd keep busy but being stuck in the house except for working is driving me crazy it's all I can think about. Hoped I'd see my doctor soon to be able to get tests but that's going to be a while away now.

Periods are fairly regular. Cycles anything between 28 and 35. Ditched them now but used opks in the past and I seem to be ovulating.

Any positive stories?

It took me a year hun x

It took me 7 years to get pregnant, I miscarried and then fell pregnant 2 months later!

I've had 3 mc's last year, took us quite a while to get PG 1st time, it ended in MC in June, got pregnant again begging of September, MC end of October, got PG again in November which ended in MC on Boxing Day. Then got PG straight away and I'm 17 weeks now (turns out I needed to be on aspirinfor it to stick). Are you tracking your ovulation? Using OPKs or temping? I found tracking very helpful.

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm so happy you all got a happy ending eventually. I need a bit of hope 💕

@EmmaHi 7 years is such a long time. I dont know how you coped.

@SoonToBeMrs91 whats the aspirin for? They were going to start me on it when I got to 12 weeks but i never got that far. I never bothered with temping because I work all different shifts and I seen on here you should take it at the same time everyday before you get up. I was using an app and opks but I've gave up because I wasnt getting anywhere. Everyone says it will happen when I relax/stop counting days/stop trying but I honestly don't know how to even start. Got rid of apps and opks but I still know roughly what CD im on, I just cant forget about it

Not a positive story sorry but I'm in the same boat as you. TTC for 16 months then got pregnant last September but had a mc at 5-6 weeks. Nothing since, it's so depressing isn't it. I also want to get some tests at the doctors as I haven't had any bloods etc done yet but looks like that won't happen for a few months Sad

SoonToBeMrs91 · 28/04/2020 19:11

Aspirin is apparently a normal thing they prescribe after multiple early miscarriages. All my MC's were before 8 weeks. I've been told to start it the moment I get positive pregnancy test. Also we've used conceive+ when we were trying, I don't know if it helped or it's just a coincidence that we've fallen pregnant quite quickly whilst using it.

Sorry to hear your news it's a very worrying time trying for a baby and all the wondering every month!

I tried properly for about nine months and had a MC a couple of days after Valentine's Day then found out I was pregnant in the June same year so I fell pregnant 3 months later.

In between the MC and getting pregnant I went and spoke to my doctor who basically told me to chill the hell out and stop using ovulation sticks and I think it made me relax a lot more.

Fingers crossed for you ❤️

Third cycle. Used digital ovulation tests. First two months struggled to dtd on the day of the smiley only managed before. Third month dtd on all four days ( 2before, day of and day after). Took aspirin from ovulation

handbaglover93 · 28/04/2020 19:23

@lavenderlove I am exactly the same as you, ttc for 16 months, mc early September around 5 weeks, haven't been able to fall pregnant since. I did just have my 21 day bloods before the lockdown and they came back normal, can't have any further tests which is a bit annoying until this is all over, trying my best to relax about it.

lavenderlove · 28/04/2020 20:19

@handbaglover93 Sorry you're in the same boat as me. Comforting to know there's others out there the same as me though as I feel quite alone with it and like it happens so easy for everyone else!

espressoontap · 28/04/2020 20:33

First MC pregnant after 15 months. Then I had another MC and it took 7 months. Currently 19 weeks pregnant.

handbaglover93 · 28/04/2020 21:18

@lavenderlove I feel the same as well! It's comforting reading others stories who are in a similar situation. I feel very alone with the whole situation as most of my closet friends have recently had babies or are pregnant so I don't discuss it with anyone really! Grateful for the community on here. Fingers crossed for you and hope you get that bfp soon x

It's been a while since posting but I had 2 MC's first was Feb 18 at 11 weeks. Had a chemical in April then another MC in July at 6 weeks. I fell pregnant in December 18 just before they were to start investigation tests. My doc started me on aspirin straight away....so in answer to your question, 5 months. In total we were trying for 2 years, keep going everyone and positive vibes to you all!!!

ktl1a · 29/04/2020 08:01

I literally could have written this post. Was trying for 18 months, had lap/dye and fell pregnant straight after. Unfortunately had a MMC at 10 weeks and now on 3rd month of trying. Time is going so slow and it'a been difficult to cope, it's the not knowing and lack of control that makes it so hard, it also doesn't help that loads of my friends/ people I know are pregnant or just had babies!

@triedandtestedteacher what are you taking the aspirin for? I was looking in to this at the start of this cycle but in the end decided against it as google had conflicting advice (as always!), I am due to ovulate today/tomorrow so could start it now... from what I saw it looked like it may help with implantation?

Trying93 · 29/04/2020 09:51

Thanks so much for everyones replies. Sad to hear others are in the same position as me but I dont feel so alone now. If I talk to people in real life I just feel they understand or say something patronising.

I think I need to try chill out a bit. No tests until this is over so there's not much else I can do
