Faint positive or evaporation line

After trying to conceive for a long time and just about to start fertility treatment before Covid struck I'm not sure if I'm wishful thinking or if they are actually positive. Today I should have started my period and that hasn't arrived. The blue one was taken yesterday morning and the pink one was taken this afternoon. I never thought I'd be a position where I'd have to ask and have got a digital one to do tomorrow morning with fmu but would be grateful to see what you think tonight so I can switch off and go to sleep x

They look positive to me
When exactly after peeing on them did the lines appear?

Imboredinthehouse · 25/04/2020 22:12

I see lines on both. We’re the lines there within the time it says to read the test? If so then congratulations!

Kajol610 · 25/04/2020 22:39

Positives... congrats!

RiaRo · 25/04/2020 22:50

Within the first 3 minutes.
Thank you so much for looking, will try again in the morning and let you know. I'm in absolute shock to get this far but we're both over the moon if it's worked without any help.
Night night x

Defo positive. Congrats! 😊

MartiniDry · 26/04/2020 00:36

I see lines! Congratulations and sleep well. 🙂

SquirtleSquad · 26/04/2020 00:51

That's not a faint line, that's a line!

myhappystreak · 26/04/2020 00:51

Yes deffo positive if they came up within the time frame. Congrats!!!

pooopypants · 26/04/2020 00:57

Digital tests are well known for not being sensitive - use FRER instead, far and away the best. You may get a negative result on a digital test, you don't need that rollercoaster OP

RiaRo · 26/04/2020 05:49

So I've just tested again using a clear blue and the isn't a line at this morning. Also double checked with a cheap test as well and nothing on that, still no period, I'm confused but thought yesterday was too good to be true.
Thanks for everyone's responses though x

@riaro did you use a digital? If so digitalis are known to be a lot less sensitive and not good for testing early on. The best thing to do is keep using the same tests that you've already gotten lines on to track your progression x

RiaRo · 26/04/2020 06:14

No didn't bother with the digital. I used the same one as the one in the picture. Don't know if I'm clutching at straws but might pick up a pink dye one today x

Always test with pink!!

Neeks888 · 26/04/2020 07:03

Congratulations 🥳

Imboredinthehouse · 26/04/2020 09:54

I was popping back to see if you had used the digital. If you pick up another today 🤞 for the retest.

strawberry2017 · 26/04/2020 10:08

They look positive to me, if you do decide to try digital bear in mind that sometimes they take longer to pick up hormones.
It was almost 5 days after my first positives that a digital one confirmed the same.
Good luck op x

maria2bela · 26/04/2020 13:03

I probably would pick up another just because you had 2 faint limes on 2 tests. Sometimes people say their afternoon urine is stronger, I'd maybe try another this afternoon and another in the morning to be sure x

RiaRo · 26/04/2020 15:19

So I did end up using the digital which said not pregnant so I went out and got more more of the pink dye ones, I did it about an hour ago and after three to four minutes I think I saw a line, it was barely visible and not a strong as yesterday. I guessing I'm not but will keep trying everyday unless my period comes. I've tracked my period for the last 20 months and it's only ever not been a 28 day cycle and both of those times it was 2 days early. Very confused but have done all I can today so just trying to relax in the garden. X

Very confusing! The only thing I can think of is maybe unfortunately a chemical pregnancy? Those lines don't look live evaps to me, but you would expect them to get darker especially as you've missed your period already, hope you get some clarity over next couple of days x

RiaRo · 28/04/2020 17:48

@maria2bela you was right, I took a test yesterday and today which were complexity negative but still no period so called the dr and got a telephone consultation at 4pm but at 3pm I started bleeding. The gp agreed it was a chemical pregnancy - called it an early miscarriage. I'd got my head around this over the last couple of days but it's still been a shock today.
Just wanted to let you know and hope this ohh help someone in the future.
