Hi all,

Have been a bit of a lurker for a while now, reading information and looking for advice.
DH and I are still quite new to our TTC journey for baby 1.
Recently purchased some OPK's and started charting everything throuth Ovia as I have fairly irregular cycles.
Hoping to join some conversations here and get advice/support when needed! Smile

Welcome. Enjoy the journey and my best advice for you is stay clear of early testing it hurts you everytime.
I'm 6 wks with baby no 6, my youngest don was born sleeping 21 weeks ago 😭💔 I have 5 boys so far x

Hi both of you! I'm also new to Mumsnet, been dipping in and out but finally decided to join after TTC our first - just started cycle 6, so came here for support!
So sorry to hear of your loss @TTClou - sending lots of baby dust to you and @Flutterby8!

Sorry to hear of your loss @TTClou, it must be so hard to get through :(

@Bax85 were on cycle 3 at the moment. Had a blip on our 2nd cycle where AF was over 10days late with several negative tests but every single symptom under the sun Hmm I'd never felt so unwell before.
Now I'm trying to track things due to irregular periods to see if I can work out when I actually ovulate. Currently 2 days late for AF (I think) but with no symptoms at all.
Good luck!!

Hi everyone! I would love to join :) it would be great to have people to talk to about TTC and long cycles!

Sorry to hear about your loss @TTClou. Lovely news to hear you are pregnant with baby no.6.

Some background on my situation.. I came off the pill at the end of January and had a 54 day cycle before my first natural period. I'm now on CD 41 (the cycle day I ovulated on in my last cycle) of my second cycle and no sign of ovulation yet. I use the Natural Cycle app and track my BBT every day.. patiently waiting for my temperature to rise to confirm ovulation. It's so frustrating with long cycles and I'm really hoping they sort themselves out eventually! I've had really sore boobs for a week now so I'm hoping that means my hormones are kicking in and ovulation is on its way!

I definitely recommend tracking BBT as it's a great way to confirm whether you've ovulated or not and cheaper than ovulation sticks. I don't use OPKs as my cycles are so long at the moment!

How long are everyone else's cycles? x

Hi @LuluHeidi

I've just started taking my BBT every morning just to see if I can understand things a bit more! It's up and down like a yoyo at the moment!

I stopped my contraceptive pill just over 2 years ago. We havent been trying all of that time though, but havent been careful as such.
My cycles will vary anywhere from 27days to 35+. I've been tracking these since coming off of the pill because prior to the pill, I was never regular either!
I've also been to the GP a few times due to them being irregular and painful and have had bloods and scans which have shown nothing. There is a family history of early menopause hence I've been keeping track a little.

My last couple of cycles were bang on 28 days and currently I'm on day 31 with absolutely no sign of AF.
Not sure when I ovulated wither as I dont seem to get very obvious symptoms.

I've been using Flo to track up until this week. I saw good things about Ovia so input my old data into it and the comparison is way off! The fertile windows are so far apart, but I know they only work via algorithms so not accurate, esp not for someone with irregular cycles!
Think I just like to see all the info in one place!!!
