Pcos symptoms and diagnosis info please?

Just wondering what are your symptoms and how is a diagnosis on PCOS made?

They will normally diagnose PCOS through a combination of blood tests and ultrasound. In addition to that I had a lap and dye to check my tubes so they were actually able to view the ovaries as well.

I had irregular periods since I was a teenager, often skipping it for 6/9 months at a time. I was overweight, and had excess facial hair as well. I then often used to get pain around my ovaries when a cyst would grow, and once ended up in hospital when it was really bad, they did a scan and saw the cysts. They never get big enough to require surgery, and when I used to skip periods I would get a bad pain and then my period would come so I think that was the cyst popping and periods restarting.

I had bariatric surgery a couple of years ago and my periods have been like clockwork since then.
