I cant be the only one who has been making pre-conception purchases... If anything, what have you picked up for baby? I will attatch a photo of my stash!

I have a random assortment of children's books mainly! And one baby gro that was meant to be a gift for someone else but I never managed to pass it to them on time. I actively have to stop myself from buying more stuff than that as I think it would be heartbreaking to have it in case I struggle to conceive.

I’ve just ordered a load of baby yarn and I’m going to attempt to knit a blanket. I’ve got all this extra time on my hands during the lockdown so I figured it’ll keep me busy. I’ve never knitted a thing in my life so it should be interesting to say the least! 🙈

I have stuff that I saved from DS but I have bought a couple of bits. Ridiculous purchases really because I’m not even PG never mind knowing what I’m having but there was a joules babygro and jumper that I fell in love with months ago before I started trying and as soon as we started I bought them even though they are girls
I also bought a unisex jumper and hat. After buying loads of stuff for DS this time I’m only buying things i absolutely adore so I figure it makes sense to buy nice things when I find them plus I’m bored

I have pretty much everything there are a couple of things I need but my spare room looks like mothercare (before they closed obviously!).

I know people will think I’m crazy but I’m using a known donor to conceive on my own and while I’m pregnant I’ll need to be saving as much as possible to support us while I’m on maternity leave so bought all the expensive stuff before I started trying.

I’m glad it’s not just me who bought stuff for a yet-to-be-conceived bub! I’ve got a secret John Lewis bag with a purple hedgehog newborn sized babygro, a set of red dungarees and striped top for 0 - 3 months, and a maternity bra (it is actually really comfy on hot summer days). I bought all of this stuff when we started TTC last year... now it’s been a while I feel a bit daft, but actually it has reminded me to stay hopeful. Guilty pleasures!!

I also bought baggier sized clothes, thinking ‘ooh by summer I might be hugely preggo...’ (because my mum had mega bumps when pregnant) and then decided to work it as a kind of deconstructed creative look when normal-sized me had to carry off massive Uniqlo dresses for months...

I think you guys are enablers I just bought 3 more joules babygros 2 girls and 1 boys. They don’t arrive for a month then have a 60 day return so I can always send them back. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it!

Love it @FueledwithFairdustandgin I have more baby clothes than a baby store - even if I changed them 3 times a day I’d never be able to use them all 😂😂

I have stopped now though there are a couple of things I still need but have promised myself I’m not buying anything else until I’m 12 weeks pregnant. I did say until I got a BFP but after a chemical pregnancy last month I’ve amended that.

Actually I just remembered a few sneaky purchases from when I went to Disney World just before my wedding (thinking I’d probably get pregnant straight away, pfft!) I couldn’t resist them, they’re hidden away in my wardrobe, DH doesn’t know about them 🙈

Though I still think my entire nursery furniture set, baby bath, snuzpod, and travel system put me in a whole different league of crazy 🙈🙈

@Waiting2BAMummy deffo not crazy... I like to call it oragnised. No judging here ever!! I picked up a moses basket at the charity shop for £2.50...bit tough explaining it to the oh mind ha ha

I’m so glad I’m not alone in all of this. Sometimes it’s hard having this stuff around when I don’t have (and am not currently expecting) a tiny human to use any of it. At the same time it keeps me focused and gives me the faith that I will do everything I can to make it happen.
