Very faint line on FRER yesterday, no line today?

Hi everyone,

I hope you and your families are all holding up in this crazy time.

I did a FRER around 7:30am yesterday and the faintest line came up within the 3 minutes, I have a picture but it doesn’t show up in that at all, I showed my partner and he saw it too. I thought I’d do another one this morning before he goes to work, so did the test about 4:40am and there’s no line at all so BFN.

Does anybody have any experience of this or have any suggestions on what to do next? Test again tomorrow but later in the morning when I would normally get up?

Can you share a picture of the test OP? How many DPO are you?

Not a great picture at all but there definitely was the faintest of lines. So unfortunately I don’t know how many days PO I am, I stopped taking my pill six weeks ago and haven’t had a period yet. I was unsure as to whether it’s because I’ve not ovulated yet or because I’m pregnant (wishful thinking I know) I was only on the pill for 2.5 weeks and then stopped taking it as circumstances changed and we decided to TTC - had the copper coil previously.

I know, neither can I with that picture but there definitely was one. Oh well will leave it a wee while and see if AF arrives and take it from there.

It's very very faint - I've had that before and not been pregnant so possibly an indent.

@rmac2020 I'm in exactly the same boat as you, did a first response test yesterday around 3pm, very faint line but it was there & dh could see it too. Did another test this morning & bfn 😣 let me know how you get on, fingers crossed for you 🤞🏽

Hey @Lily2020, it’s so frustrating isn’t it! I took another test this morning and it was bfn too, I think I was just expecting a stronger line when I tested because I’d definitely seen a faint one. Was going to try and test tonight just to see if that makes a difference and if bfn again I’ll just leave it for a week or so....

The plot thickens @rmac2020 I did another because I'm clearly not right in the head & it had a v v faint line (fainter than yesterday's) so I'm now just going to wait till tomorrow afternoon when tests I've ordered arrive as I've read a few times that smu & afternoon urine works best for some people & would make sense for the tests I've had 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows, I'm not overly hopeful but not out till af arrives!

Hcg levels are higher in the evening the reason people use fmu is because it’s concentrated. The best way to test is not to eat, drink or wee from say 4-8pm and test then.

Did another test last night and BFN again sadly. Also I think AF might have arrived as there was some pinky/red ‘bleeding’ after dtd last night and a bit this morning. Although I normally have awful cramps and tender boobs for days before my period which I haven’t had at all 🤔 Strange!

No change here, just the ‘bleeding’ seems to have settled! Sorry to hear about the negative, maybe try again in a few days?

Oooh that's good! Yes I'm going to wait till Tuesday now, if no af before I'll officially be late then too 🤞🏽 hard not to feel down about it when every body else seems to get a positive days before af due!

Hey @Lily2020 how did today’s test to? AF arrived in full force for me this morning, frustrating but at least it’ll be easier to track etc now I’ve had a period since coming off the pill!

Hey @rmac2020 😊 sorry forgot to post on this thread! AF arrived yesterday & I was devastated for a few hours, drowned my sorrows last night & woke up feeling really positive! So onto the next cycle! 😃🤞🏼
