Sex after hycosy ?

Just had a hycosy - MOST painful cramps I have ever experienced, cried the whole way through.
Sadly left side is blocked. I don't want to go through surgery. As right side and uterus is ok. I'll be ovulating next week - would it be smart to continue to conceive naturally or were you told to wait due in case of infection ?
I was told ovulation drug may not suit me as we don't know which side I'll ovulate from....

I had a HSG rather than a hycosy and was told to try as hard as possible that month as it increases your chances temporarily as everything has been cleared out by the procedure

It worked and I got pregnant that month after a year of trying unsuccessfully

Sorry you had a bad experience. I had mine yesterday, and it wasn't nice towards the end but I was never told anything about not having sex and we did the same night as I was ovulating that day but I fear the test itself may have flushed away any eggs that were released (I have no idea if that's even possible though).

I had a hycosy this cycle. I was told to give TTC a miss for this month due to risk of ectopic pregnancy (if you have ovulated before the procedure then there is a risk of the dye flushing the egg back into the tube). But I knew I hadn’t ovulated (was days too early ) so I Ignored the advice and continued TTC as per normal. I’m now pregnant.
