Ovulating early (11dpo). Still possibly to conceive?

I read that technically eggs need to not be released before 14 dpo because they are not mature enough. Therefore you are unlikely to be successful TTC.

Has anyone managed to conceive whilst ovulating earlier in their cycle? I used to ovulate day 12 or 13 but it seems to have crept forward to day 11. I'm on day 9 now and already starting to see my opks change. I'm 37.

I conceived on a cycle when I ovulated on day 12/13 so I wouldnt worry - plenty of women have short cycles and manage to conceive

Hello. I've read that CD11 onwards to CD21 is within the normal range. I think 10 and below gets problematic but your range of 11-13 should be fine. Some of the articles mention that it might mean you have less CM at this stage to help the sperm along so might be worth giving pre-seed a shot?

@Juno231 I did try pre-seed one cycle. I'll try it again maybe. Some months I get more CM than others but I usually do get it around the right time. With a go though.

Hi, just wanted to add that I'm ovulating today I think cd10, as had positive opk yesterday. My cycle tends to be 24 days so guessing I'll struggle? It's been 8 months so far and can't book a doctors appointment because of COVID. I wonder if they'd even see me as it hasn't been a year yet. I'm just turned 34, husband is 37, both first time trying.

@notyetamumbuttrying I think it's more of an issue if you LP is short. Which it isn't if you have a 24 day cycle. I bleed in mine so I wondered if the issue was actually I ovulate too early. Hilariously this month I don't know when it happened (currently cd 40) but it certainly wasn't early. And I still bled. 🙄

@paintfairy no my LP is about right. It's the follicular phase that's short for me. I don't think my egg is mature enough to get fertilised but we'll see!

@notyetamumbuttrying could be worth trying soya isoflavones? There's another thread on here about that.

If anyone is reading this, I ovulated on day 10/11 and I’m 40 and pregnant. So there’s hope!

I ended up having ivf. So there was no hope for me. 🤣 Baby is now 8 weeks old. 😊
