Hi, firstly let me apologise as I don't know all the abbreviations I'll have to spell everything out.

Ok, let me get to it, I've been on the mini pill ever for 4 years, and before that the injection all the while not having "a period". So I don't really know what my cycle is. Anyway i stopped the pill on the 20th Feb, had unprotected sex on the 29th, and had signs of ovulation from the 2nd - 4th March.

About a week later I had tingly nipples, but that has since gone. This coming Monday and Tuesday I had what might be considered spotting. It was brown and only didn't even fill a panty liner and I've since been feeling uneasy. But nothing too much. I'm not tired, I don't feel like I'm going off any foods, and I don't think I'm moody.

Do you think I should take take a pregnancy test? And if so when would be a reasonable

*sorry accidentally pressed post.

When would be a reasonable time to take one, as in how long should I wait. The tingly nipples could be down to my hormones getting back to normal right, and the spotting could be my first pe my first be period since coming off the pill no?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

It's usually the Two Week Wait (2WW) - the time between ovulating and your expected period.

This roughly translates into doing a test first day after your missed period. Good luck.

I'd perhaps take one now just to ease your mind, as otherwise you might have to wait a whole cycle for your next period. Odds are slim that you're actually pregnant though in my opinion - but this you'd at least know. If you think you ovulated around the 3rd then that would show on the tests by now if you were pregnant.

Thank you for your response. I was thinking the odds are slim, which is why I wasn't really sure whether to waste money, even though I know there are relatively cheap ones out there.

I think I might just wait until my next cycle, as in not too worried, just thought I'd seek advice 😁
